Rumored Tank vs Lomachenko 2025 PPV’

If Loma weighed in at 134.8 lbs then yeah that's still a lightweight bout. Tank fighting Ryan at a 136 catchweight was technically a junior welterweight fight. This isn't difficult to grasp.
lol it was just a pointless thing to say unless you're going for trivia points?

I was naming the guys he's fought at 135. Not 136 lbs. Then again you're the guy that thinks Garcia missing weight by over 3 lbs is no big deal lol. Even a single pound difference can make or break a fighter that cuts.

I love how you get so butthurt over shit that shouldn't even bother you. If you want to count Garcia as a "lightweight" win for Tank then feel free. Garcia has never even held a full world title lol.

i mean he beat a top-ranked lightweight fighter, if not even a much bigger man with the same skill, one pound above the lightweight limit. i don't see any reason to think the fight would have gone any differently had they weighed in one pound lighter.

You think Garcia has the same level of skill as Tank? Garcia literally turns his back when his opponents press him. He was doing it all night against Haney who isn't even a puncher. If those two wanted to fight at lightweight then they would've made the 135 pound limit.

no i think 136 pound garcia has the same skill as 135 pound garcia lol

The more I think about this fight, this has to be either a Tank KO or Loma UD. Tank has to knock out Loma to win because he's going to get outworked like he does with almost every opponent in the early rounds.

Loma's got a pretty good chin and has stood up to some big punchers. i cant recall seeing him hurt very badly, or really at all. can anyone else? Linares dropped him but i think that was because it was a sneaky shot that Loma didnt see coming and Linares also has really quick hands. Tank might be able to do the same although his hands are not as quick as Linares'. actually, i think Tank's hands are slower than Loma's too.
although im not a big fan, Tank is a very tricky boxer. i remember not even knowing why Garcia took a knee in their fight because i didnt see how Tank slipped the punch in there. he knows how to place his punches very well and is much craftier than a lot of people give him credit for.
love this matchup although i wouldve preferred to see it like 3-5 years ago. maybe Tank aged Loma out deliberately? who knows. 3-5 years ago Loma beats Tank all day. now this is a very competitive matchup. hard to pick a winner here.

Let's just make this fight happen. Regardless of the pros and cons. Let them fight and settle it that way.

In the Linares knockdown, Loma was stepping in and got caught off balance too. He bounced back up and didn't seem bothered by it. I don't ever remember him seeing hurt. To me it seems like he's been most bothered by guys with a size advantage like Lopez, Haney, Ortiz. It wasn't their power necessarily. Of course Tank is probably the biggest puncher Loma faced but he's also not bigger for once. Tank likes to draw out big punches to counter them, but with Loma, that'll be harder to do since Loma always looks for superior positioning, doesn't throw single shot bombs, and is ready to circle out or defend counters. Timing him will be trickier.

I think the reason Tank wasn't able to hurt Cruz like he did with the others is because Cruz was always backing Tank up and Tank wasn't in position to throw his counters with as much power as he'd like. Of course Cruz is also a beast too which contributed. Obviously Loma isn't Cruz but I don't think he'll let Tank get in position to counter effectively.

I think it'll be a battle for positioning mostly while Tank gets outworked trying to figure Loma out. If he doesn't figure Loma out in the later rounds to stop him, or at least get multiple knock downs, I think Loma should win a UD. Unless of course the judges rob him again.
