Rumored Tank vs Lomachenko 2025 PPV’

Call me crazy but I can see Tank taking a stay busy fight of sorts, then fighting Loma in 2025. This seems much more possible than a Tank-Shakur fight right now.

Possibly but according to Tank's own trainer they're now pursuing Shakur. Shakur recently said he wanted that fight so we'll see. Loma wants to unify with the winner early next year.

Tank needs to handle his business with Roach first before he looks at any other fights. If Team Roach does get the draw overturned to a win then he'll be 1-0 against Tank. Even if Tank beats him in the rematch they'll be 1-1 and it could require a trilogy. Loma already has one foot out the door and may still choose to retire at 37. He hasn't fought since last May and is coming off a back injury that he suffered a couple months ago. If I were him at this point of his career I wouldn't give Tank the opportunity for the simple fact that he spent so many years avoiding him.

Roach in June/July … Loma in Nov/Dec is doable … Hope both fights happen in 2025

Tank is talking about possibly rematching Roach as early as late May. It's a very quick turnaround though so I doubt it. As for Loma if he even takes the fight, and Tank wins the Roach rematch, I don't think it'll be in November/December. Loma's going to want a tune-up before then. If he goes straight into a Tank fight at the end of the year then he'll have been outside the ring for a year and a half.
 
What I think might happen is that the IBF will soon order Loma to fight the winner of a title eliminator between Abdullaev vs Cruz. They're the top 2 rated challengers at lightweight. If Tank vs Loma does happen it'll be a title unification meaning it'll take precedence over the mandatory but that doesn't solve Loma's inactivity problem. He needs to get on the same schedule as Tank but he can't do that until after Tank handles his business against Roach by beating him in the rematch.
 
Ugh. I hate this. Loma is almost done and whilst I appreciate he is not the G.O.A.T, he is a bloody incredible boxer. More kudos should be given to amateur careers.

This is definitely an age factor issue. Loma's movement is beautiful but reaction time at... pushing 38? I don't know, man.

Make no mistake, Tank’s post-Roach fight is already signed. That’s why he initially said he couldn’t rematch right away and why he’s now rushing to get the rematch in May. He’s contractually required to fight someone else later this year. If The Ring says Tank vs Loma is being discussed, it’s probably a done deal.
 
Crazy to think Tank is just now interested in fighting a relatively inactive top guy that Teo & Devin beat years ago.
While still never fighting Teo or Devin. Now he has to fight Roach again to even make it a possibility.

Calling out retired dudes while there are 2 active rivals of yours who beat him seems weird.
