Strongest ufc welter weight ever

It absolutely is about pound-for-pound there's a weight limit that's been set and who is the strongest at that weight. LMAO.
Re read the post. Comprehend what you have read. Try again. LMAO.

If strong by pure muscle, definitely not GSP. It's Usman.

Fighting skill doesn't equal physical strength
I would imagine Hughes was much stronger than st Pierre
LOL at Usman above Hughes. Jesus

gsp literally dragged hendricks body to the center of the octagon while trying to take him down, he's atleast top5

much stronger than mister foot stomps and rabbit punches(snoozeman)

Strength is the ONLY ingredient when you've never done one before and don't even know what they are.

lmao, no they're not.

show me where there are powerlifters and strongmen knocking out muscle ups

if you're as athletic as Lombard you can literally learn a muscle up in 30 seconds. I'm average strengthed and can do muscle ups.

ya'll need to get off the couch and hit a pull up bar a couple times a month. ffs girls do them.

lmk when Lombard is wrestling bears and bailing hay like our WW god Matt Hughes

HW Powerlifters and strongmen competitors aren't as strong pound for pound as leaner athletes in a lot of different sports. Gymnasts for example or climbers are stronger pound for pound than those guys, those guys can just lift way more total.

Eddie Hall was something like 432lbs when he deadlifted 1,102lbs which is more than double his weight but I've seen guys that weigh 220 or less that can deadlift 3 times their own weight or more.

Now if you're talking powerlifters below HW then they are going to be much stronger P4P then the HWs are cause at HW it's all about the total cause how much you lift relative to your weight isn't a factor like it is in the lower weight divisions.

Pure strength?

Rumble.

Hughes.

Do

Do We need to mention P4P when only discussing heavyweights?

Yes, because Hughes is clearly smaller than guys like Woodley and Usman but displayed a similar level of strength.

I think Alves deserves at least an honorable mention. He didn't have nearly the same grappling technique, which is where we'd often think that we'd see a "test of strength" between two fighters. Regardless, I think in terms of pure power a prime Alves gives almost anyone a run for their money in the division.

I think it's cause it wasn't for a long portion of his career and it was also a long time ago when he was at his biggest. Alves was really big between 2006-2011ish After he came back from that brain surgery he lost a lot of muscle mass.

lol of course. Trolling. It's shocking how many people have nothing better going on in their lives than to be stupid recreationally.

RIP

this is the correct answer.

Bro a few posts up talking about Hughes couldn't leverage his strength in real life situations clearly never saw a Hughes fight.
90% of the dog these days hasn’t seen any of the fights worth seeing. I feel you.

There is some expert strength analysis in this thread. Who has more defined abs? Who could pick another fighter up? I think having a chiseled chin is really a sign of being the strongest too.

Matt Hughes defo had that farm boy strength on him.
