To fit more game badass Bison, maybe an actor like Josh brolin could have been good idea

Dastmalchian is good and look wise can play the role

His voice it's going be bit a problem though(feels... weak?) for you people, hope here we get good badass dubs instead

Tbh i like Ryu casting, i just hope they give him some of these Hollywood roids, dude definitely needs some mass on these arms/neck

I'm also not 100% sure on Centineo as Ken, like he CAN be pretty good Ken (props for not have him as legit blond/blue eye guy), dude can pass as half asian (Ken is actually 3/4 japanese with black hair/eyes lol), but they'll need good make up and dude hitting the gym to make it work properly

On Blanka i think Momoa can do good

the thing is "BUT WHY?"
I mean he's going to be one of the highest paid actors for a character that is supposed to have very very marginal role

Like you could have found a much more fitting actor at 1% of what Momoa is getting paid lol

Unless they're planning again to pull the bullshit Blanka was transformed by Bison and have Momoa play also as "regular human Blanka" for some screen time

The thing with actual sumo wrestlers is that they have strict moral code to follow, they're not pro wrestlers

Example sumo guy in Van Damm's The Quest was indeed a legit former sumo guy (a Yokozuna even) but was retired from sumo and not in good terms, then turned pro wrestler
So play a role in a movie, getting beated up while repping sumo he would give no fucks

Even retired sumo guy who wants keep honor sumo would probably refuse

Indian action star Vidyut Jammwal (Commando) has landed the role of Dhalsim in Legendary‘s live-action Street Fighter movie, based on the video games from Capcom, sources tell Deadline.

The project marks the Hollywood debut of an actor who we’re told has been deliberate about the project with which he wants to introduce himself in the U.S. market. First introduced in Street Fighter II in 1991, the character of Dalsim is a yogi with fire-spitting abilities — a fundamentally peaceful man who fights to support his family.

As previously announced, the Street Fighter cast will also include Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.

I’m having a bit of a double “wtf moment” with the Schulz casting.

1. I was not aware he was an actor, I am only aware of him because of his podcast.

2. Who is Dan Habiki? I have only played Street Fighter II on SNES and I don’t remember that character.
