No Gorgeous George, Lou Thesz, Bruno Sammartino, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. Verne Gagne, Fred Blassie,. Harley Race, Superstar Billy Graham?

None of them ever slammed Andre the Giant in front of over 93,000 people in the Pontiac Silverdome, brotherdudejack.
While technically not "in front of over 93,000 people in the Pontiac Silverdome", Harley Race slammed Andre the Giant before Hogan did.

Wrestlers slamming Andre the Giant:

I'm not debating that Hulk Hogan was the greatest professional wrestler based on increasing the popularity of professional wrestling, although I think his impact comes more from stealing the best from others than from originality.

Hulkamania isn't just a phrase to sell t-shirts. There was an actual Hulk Hogan-mania during his peak that was bigger than any other "mania" for any other wrestler. Then he went to WCW and turned Hollywood Hogan and exploded all over again. It's like the dude had TWO primes. And both primes were absolutely colossal.

Austin is a very easy second. Which, there's no shame in that.

Hogan'a NWO moment is a top three wresting moment of all time. He almost helped WCW overtake WWF. The Monday Night Wars were real. He also took wrestling National. Like I said in another post, he's basically the MJ of wrestling. Hogan's popularity peak and impact on wrestling has and will never be duplicated. Terry Bollea may have been a POS, but Hulk Hogan was truly iconic. One of one.

If it's strict wrestling then it's Hogan based on longevity. I think overall should be The Rock. The Rock actually owns part of TKO.

Stone Cold at his peak for wrestling was up there. I remember he didn't have to even wrestle for months and he was fairly popular. I think he was probably injured. I will admit Stone Cold's peak was somewhat short.

I can only think there a re hundreds of slams not recorded on video.

One thing is Ultimate slammed him at his heaviest and least inmobile, then Hogan would be the second one in that feat with the 2 everyone remembers (as he did a lot more during the early 80s as you can see in the video)

Was a huge Hulk fan, Warrior won me over for WM6. But Hulk always was on the list the only person to take that spot for me is Austin. But I still voted for Hulk.

I remember being a WWF guy and of course the outsiders and the NWO angle, made me watch more Nitro than Raw as i switched back and forth.
