Andre is remembered so fondly today in large part because of princess bride. Rock should get extra points for going over so well in Hollywood, it shouldn't count against him.

Stone Cold only wrestled from 1989 to 2003, and he was only a top guy from 96 to 03. He made a big name for himself in a short time, but Rock has almost two decades on him.

Hogan was a huge star in wrestling on two continents before Rocky 3, you people and these tall tales that you weave, Rocky 3 was not some life altering moment for him, it was a great part that enhanced his career but you take that movie away and it literally changes nothing about his rise to the top of the rasslin world or his crossover into mainstream pop culture

The Rock is absolutely mainstream iconic, globally. EVERYBODY knows him. When i was a kid in the early 90s a few other kids knew the undertaker etc and fewer had heard of hulk. I never even heard of Andre until i was older.
