Oh, hi George! The writing, the plotting. If you think of him as more of a Johnny from The Room type character the movie starts to make more sense.

*smh*
Yesyes and Schmoo giving virginal birth to the redemptive Christ figure, how deep and meaningful is the dreck.
Nope. Just saw what was going to happen because of palps plan.Yeah but he didn’t see he was the one who caused her death.
The animated series and comics fleshed him out greatly. Too bad the movies did show any of this development.
No movie with such horrible dialogue can be brilliant.
By having this opinion you’re actually shitting on other movies that are masterpieces and art.
You can like this movie all you want, Hell, I like it a lot also but I’m not delusional enough to think it’s a masterpiece or brilliant.
That’s all nonsense
That could mean anything. The prequels have a lot more to say than the original trilogy. That much is undeniable.
That could mean anything.
What is "a lot more to say"?
They were planning on running TCW all the way to RotS. But Disney cut it because they wanted to head into a different direction. They wanted more kid friendly stuff. They tried to fix him but I thought as something between AOTC and ROTS it didn't work. It was like a retcon but they couldn't go all the way because ROTS was still there. It was also very long. I liked the microseries more as a ROTS prequel.
It's beyond pretentious to suggest that the prequels taken together form some kind of rich narrative (that's still somehow devoid of characterization and clear motivations, protagonists, antagonists, and story arcs that make sense) with intellectual roots in better work.Greater meaning, richer themes, a deeper and more thoughtful. . .
While this image is probably a unnecessarily combative, I do generally agree with what it's saying:

Just accept that it was quickly written schlock. He pumped the first draft of Ep 1 out like a few weeks before filming began ffs.

Sucks because we actually got to see Anakin's interactions with Obi-Wan, Padme and the other Jedi. It showed how incompetent the council was. How the clones worked and their personalities. More lore about the sith training. More saber duels.
Nope Disney said f u creativity and compelling plot lines.
Oh, hi George!
Yes but they also have unfinished episodes that push on to the late part of War.I don't mean running directly to the start of ROTS. Because Clone Wars was an admittance that ROTS was severely lacking. The movie that Clone Wars was leading up to was not ROTS. It's never been made.
Could be cool. There should be a prequel about Luke and his failed Jedi Padawans.
Palpatine allowed himself to be kidnapped, yes. Grievous had no idea who he was.
Dooku thought he would be taken in prisoner by Anakin. Palps was having none of it.

Could be cool.
But it's been done. It would present a real challenge to a screenwriter to make it different and effective.
We need different, fresh. Please, new characters, new things.
