Should Usman retire if he loses to Buckley?

He looked fine in all of his last three losses.

He's obv. older now, coming off a lay-off and additional injuries to his already shot knees. It really depends on his performance more than a win or a loss to me.

If he does lose, I don't see a reason to hang around though. Maybe money but he won't make half of what he made as champ. If his contract doesn't have too many fight left, maybe fight out that contract and see if you can get a big payday doing boxing.

If he wins, he's right back in the mix, whether people want it or not.

Also, I can't shake the feeling this fight is going to fall apart. I hope I'm wrong but this fight reeks of a pull-out.

I hope Usman healed up and proves everyone and me wrong, looking like the guy who was coming up in the division. But usually after these older champs lose their belts they don't care anymore. Woodley, Silva, Lawler, Rashad, hell Izzy might be on the list later. Whatever it is, mentally they lose something after they achieved what they wanted and the UFC is forced to give them high ranked fighters afterwards who are much more hungry. So you see champs fall off after losing belt.

Depends why he's fighting to begin with. If he's interested in some super fights, give him one or two more.
If he's chasing a title, forget about it.
People act like the dude sucks now but he had a super competitive fight with Khamzat (the only guy not named Gilbert Burns to do so), and was beating Leon for 5 rounds decisively until he got KO'ed. Granted Leon got him twice but we're talking about another top guy.

Would be hilarious if Usman won purely because it would make Colby’s bum ass look that much worse. I don’t see that happening though.
