Avant-garde PS and PC indie about a mountaineer landing before Christmas 2025 that looks like a good title to relax to if anyone needs a break during the holiday season from stress, worry.

Very pretty. The PS5 version comes fully DualSense supported with mountain vibration and summit ascension haptics.

Coming out of France, name is Cairn:

Damn, looks like whatever project John Romero had been working on has been cancelled as a result of the Microsoft cuts. I’m sure most people don’t give a shit, but as a lifelong og Doom and Quake fan I was curious to see what he was cooking up with his team. Now it looks like we’ll never know if he would have redeemed himself after Daikatana.

Old Country spoiler-free gameplay morsels released across a few missions – gunplay and stealth. Looking fun and reminds me of Uncharted a bit: (Time to watch 1m 20s)

I watched a podcast with the creator on Tiger Belly (bobby lee is obsessed with the game) and the creator seems like a good dude. I was happy to see how successful he was with this game.

MP shooter Splitgate 2 uniquely ‘unlaunches’ (word of the day) and reverts to beta.

Layoff wave planned for studio (1047 Games) this year with roadmap reworked for 2026 relaunch.

CEO is not without controversy himself, making a bit of a spectacle at Summer Game Fest 2025. I’ve played the game quite a bit and while the movement is very good, many players are upset at the studio’s swift abandon of Splitgate 1 (user disregard, profit-chasing) and that the sequel is missing a number of standout features that made the original so much fun.

Lack of gameplay footage is a real bad sign. Just looks generic and lacking any identity, but it's somehow supposed to usurp COD. Classic EA.
I saw the beta gameplay on multiplayer and wasn’t to blown away, looks like every other fps game nowadays. Everyone seemed to praise the new mechanics though.

I know I'll be playing this. I went out of my way to find a video of night time game play cause that was my biggest gripe with Dying Light 2. It just didn't seem a scary as the first game. It was too light, too busy with lots of lame zombies lot of weak volatiles. I had missed the pitch blackness of the first one where you really had to just focus on volatiles from afar and sneak around. It looks like they may have fixed that with this one and made it more like the first game, esp from what I'm reading in the reviews

Ready or Not, a SWAT shooter out of Ireland, impresses with sales exceeding 2M units on its newly launched PS5 and Series X | S ports just two weeks ago.

I don’t know much about this game, TBH, but I’ve seen a few of my friends playing it when I’m logged on. Will check out.
