Do any of you guys still play this? I tried so hard to like it, but it's the most boring game in the world to me.

Microsoft pays devs a flat fee for Game Pass titles, which is a good stream of revenue for creators, especially for small teams. But it's not a coincidence Sandfall explicitly mentions “copies sold” and not “players in total”. That's what ultimately secures the future of studios.

Respawns in a bad spot. Their leadership has been elevated into EA roles. While theyve been slowly losing staff for only developing Apex Legends and Jedis games over the past six years.

Ego involved in trying to design a extraction shooter where Dice failed now caused layoffs. This will only further accelerate the exodus of staff.

Xbox Series X being bumped by $100 to $599.99. Microsoft is also planning to adjust the pricing of some of its new first-party Xbox games this holiday season up to $79.99.Microsoft’s Xbox Series S (512GB) model is moving from $299.99 to $379.99, a price hike of $80.

The Xbox Series S 1TB model is moving to $429.99, and the Xbox Series X digital edition will now be priced at $549.99, with the 2TB galaxy black special edition model now an eye-watering $729.99.

Xbox wireless controllers and headsets are also having their recommended retail pricing adjusted in the US, with the base controller moving to $64.99 and the Xbox wireless headset now at $119.99.

Got into the tech test 2. Got two free invites and invited some friends of mine. We had a blast playing it. Still want to try out Marathon because I prefer FP for my PVP shooter but I did have fun with this.

Good stuff, brother. I've been watching Shroud re ARC and enjoying what I'm seeing.

Something about Marathon that stands out more than any other game in recent memory are the interiors – all buildings, structures. Gorgeous, man. You can tell map exteriors aren't done nor the focus of current playtests but every time someone enters a structure, you're teleported into another game. Per feedback from veteran extraction cats, there's a lot of good stuff Bungie is doing here but missteps too, like for solo players that will squad with randos and how contracts self-defeatingly promote selfish, teamless play. The weapons sound nice and meaty, though.

Yea the weapons in Arc is probably my biggest complaint right now. Not a fan of 3rd person view either. Way to easy to just camp and watch for people which is the last thing you want in an extraction shooter. With people camping at the extraction points. I forget who I was listening to but he mentioned that camping in Marathon doesn't happen so far at least so that sounds great.

I hope I get to try Marathon soon as I was actually was more excited for that game. Arc just kind of came out of nowhere. I signed up last minute and just got lucky.

Honestly IMO Arc is ready to go and I'm kind of surprised they don't want to release ASAP and get ahead of Marathon. Then again they have some time to do that still since Marathon isn't until September.
