Reyes did well to pull a lot of those shots.

I've trained with a couple of guys who are rather "Strickland" (lol, it's a verb now).
Sadly, they won't develop themselves unless they have a very particular trainer.
It's difficult for people to want to put a beating on somebody who just keeps Stricklanding all of the time.

Eventually, people don't want to spar with a stricklander.

My fights so far have felt "easy" compared to what my savage training partners put me through. One of them talks shit the whole time like Sean but he is a pure wrestler moreso. Grinds you out while talking shit lol

He's very durable, mentally made for fighting, has great timing on his straight punches, and has pretty good head movement.

Good sparring session. Reyes at some points let his hands fly and I wonder if that was because he was annoyed.

Strickland type of guys are either annoying or super fun to spar. For me it was mostly the second since I also liked to talk trash.

Sean was being the ideal sparring partner. He was motivating Reyes and encouraging him to work hard, reminding him of the time left on the clock...I do these things too when I spar.
