He was suspended from the UFC though… I don’t get it

The UFC can suspend its fighters based on their cide of conduct, but stopped doing that mostly, so they can pretend they're all free speech (excuse for not being stricter with their fuckup star talents).

It's mostly the commissions who suspend people, and though you specifically can't fight under that commission, any other state commission would usually not let you fight under them as a way around your suspension. So like, you get suspended by Nevada, and then if you were to apply for a license in California, they'd probably tell you not until the Nevada suspension is up

He assaulted a cop and is only going to get a small suspension. He won

The cop didn't care. He said he's professional as an officer but enjoys that he can let loose and have fun in the cage, and that that's what he was doing, and didn't think they'd get that offended.

He explains why he taunted them and said that, despite the assault, he's got nothing against them, wouldn't press charges if asked, and hoped the commission wouldn't sanction them.

This suspension will add him to the fighters known as rank squatters. He will sit in the top 7 doing nothing in a division that has gotten pretty good.

Him being active was important for the 185 pound class.
