Rumored Sean Brady vs Michael Morales

Well I would not even have a problem with Morales fighting Leon at this point, coming off two losses.

But Brady absolutely dominating the #1 contender should not be "rewarded" with a fight against a prospect....

Leon wasn't #1 contender when they fought. There's not a chance in hell Leon would have got a title shot for beating Brady.

Brady said on his podcast he wants the Ian Garry fight @ MSG. Said he agreed to fight Garry for UFC 319 and then again to be the main event for Vancouver, but both times they fell through on Ian’s side. Said Shavkat rumors aren’t true and Morales fight isn’t happening (fight doesn’t make sense for him because he’s the #1 contender).

I'm guessing...

Shavkat/Usman (UFC can sell whoever wins)
Leon/Prates + Belal/Garry (UFC trying to bury these guys lower)
Burns/Colby (try to push loser to retirement)
Buckley/ either Drod Bonfim (try to get Buckley a W this year)
Prates either fills in for someone who rejects or waits for first bout loser.

It's going to be a WW tournament. Too bad the division is slow as hell. Only Prates and Garry seem really active. Also if Khamzat returns to WW, could hold it up longer.

The UFC just doesn't seem to like Brady. He actually deserves a title shot the way he dominated Leon 1 after losing the belt. Its the most impressive win any WW is coming off of atm.

I honestly thought Brady was marketable. Looks good getting off the bus. Has that Philly swag. Lots of people seemed to enjoy his drubbing of Leon. Guess we'll see how it all pans out. The matchmaking against Morales would lend more credence to what you're saying. I also think it's obvious that Garry doesn't want to fight Brady.

Admittidely I need to watch moralles more, but its hard to see a counter to Brady's dirty boxing pressure outside of above average responsible striking and elite tdd (Belal). Outside of JDM I don't think anyone else has that combinatn

Garry is annoying but I've had to concede that he's been willing to fight anyone. If he's ducking Brady, I can go back to just only being annoyed by him lol.

Brady is the Boogeyman now that he got the surgery and can breathe properly so cardio isn't an issue. Not surprised nobody wants to fight him. (Outside Morales who likely sees it as a way to jump way up towards the front of the line if he wins).

You think? I think Brady would definitely be favored...was hoping more like -150 to -175 given Morales unbeaten record. Could be wishful thinking by me though.

I love Morales in this fight. I think hes so much stronger and way more athletic than Brady. He's gonna light Brady up on the feet and knock him out. If Brady is able to get close enough to grapple I think morales beats him there too. Morales is a beast and a future champ. I think he beats everyone at 70

Nah u right. I wouldn’t go so far as to say Machado is ducking Brady, I just think there’s easier matchups for heem, stylistically speaking. Machado has managed his career superbly, so I would think he’d push for other matches at WW before Brady. I forget what the options were when I posted that…
