Under hypothetical negotiations perspective of course they will pretend to ask more than what they actually expect to achieve
Most bizzarre part is how it seem to imagine a Poland/Romania huge upgrade to eat chunks of western Ukraine just to piss Kiev off
But there's a piece of truth there and is for sure done like that Russia would love reach Transinstria on south-west (wich i guess is why seems so willing to make "gift" on a north/west they was unlikely to even touch anyway), but unless NATO goes full drunk they will never allow it
Done like that would make Moldova surrounded on two sides, Russia getting whole sea cost up to Romania, and reach Transinstria will settle a precedent for "unification" gimmicks with far detached bridgeheads, and considering shit like Kaliningrad existing the west would tolerate none of that

it is rumoured that ukraine does have naval drones. These might have 800 km range and carry 860-1000 kg warhead.

Nudelman resigning is fantastic news, given she and her dept were the most responsible in starting this war and the most aggressive in pursuing it to the bitter end once it started, so this looks (at least seemingly...) like the 'max war' faction in the US have finally yielded and the chances of a peace treaty/winding down of the conflict hugely increased, and nuclear apocalyse seems off the table for now (was getting a little worried after the last few days).

When Orban realized that his fighter airplanes are manufactured in Sweden and only Sweden might supply for them spare parts, then he folded....
From Finland Hungary needs specific spare parts only Finland might supply....
While Zelensky might offer Orban phrase : we need your money for reconstruction ....and after we will join EU we will recieve agricultural subsidies....from EU....

The ruble would be worthless except you can buy oil with it now. America created that neat trick, but its probably the only thing keeping RU currency stable.
They also do settle a decent amount of grey market transactions in gold internationally. Russia mines a fair amount of gold and has been accumulating a reserve probably in anticipation of something like the current sanctions.

I don't think this is a Republican thing or a Mike Johnson thing. I think the ask was big on purpose by the Biden administration, in order to give a plausible reason for the Rs to hold it up. I think it is a bipartisan attempt to put pressure on Ukraine to end the war.
