Putin isnt any kind of "defender of socialism", he's the outgrowth of the shift to nationalist capitalism post USSR who the west gradually lost control of.

If someone is telling that Russia is social democracy or socialism he doesn't knows about reality .....chatbot or .....person should be placed in ignore list. Also russian nationalists are delusional dreamers....
Russia does have more oligarchs per capita than U.S so easy to see inequality in income distribution.
Also russian nationalists might be happy that a lot of mining companies in donbas and russia had been sold to armenian origin oligarch and how beautiful pleasure is to work in businesses located in Moscow owned or co owned by chechens etc...
If employee see russian director, CEO and some board member it doesn't means that real owners are slavic origin ppl...

Ironic thing is that decline started largely in 1991 because the fall of USSR meant capitalism no longer had to be on its best behavior. The superiority of western civ had been proven so why restrain themselves? The 90s were the happiest the west ever got and things slowly getting worse. It takes Jack Savage levels of delusion to believe things have improved since then. If there is 1 thing that unites the entire political spectrum its the fact that things have gotten worse even if theres disagreement how we got there.

This is why the fall of the USSR was the greatest tragedy of the 20th century not just because of what happened in the USSRs borders but because the people outside of the socialist world greatly benefited from the USSR and it's existence which moderated capitalism. The wests greatest victory was in reality its greatest defeat.

Lol, I thought only Putin believed that BS. The fall of the USSR was one of the greatest things that happened in the 20th century. The former republics left the USSR as soon as they could, and only benefited from doing so. If the USSR (Russia) was so great, the USSR would've never failed. The reality is that Russians forced their ideas and way of life on a bunch of countries and did their best to destroy the identity of those countries. Corruption, incompetence, and that damned war against Afghanistan were the final nails in the coffin. Life in the Soviet Union SUCKED, my family lived through it. Life in Russia sucks compared to life in the West. I've lived there. Oh and the real tragedies of the 20th century were things like all the genocides (including Stalin's), famines, and the two world wars. I thought that would be common sense, but apparently it isn't to you and Putin.

So looks like the Freedom of Russia Legion is (edit) back in Russia. Their Telegram channel is already showing them wrecking stuff in the Russian border stuff of Tetkino. For those who haven't kept up, they did some raids near Belgorod last year along with another, more controversial group (RDK). Both groups are composed of true Russian patriots who defected to Ukraine, although RDK is ran by the controversial nazi Denis White Rex, who was very active in the Russian MMA scene before the war. I like the Freedom of Russia Legion a lot more for obvious reasons, and their spokesperson, who goes by the call sign "Caesar" is a very smart man who is very dedicated to the cause of freeing Russia from Putin's regime. Russia does have good education in STEM field and good, responsible engineers & technicians.
Not likely they had ignored maintenance schedules...
However maybe kleptocrats failed to deliver spare parts etc...this might happen.
