These RPG-7 and USSR era anti tank mines etc etc.
Machine gun with 7,62x54 mm ammo isn't lesser effective than with 7,62x51 mm ammo etc etc.
Btw 7,62x54 mm ammo is really notable cos if manufacturing quality was good and storage conditions good....then even after >60 years cartridge will work.

This isn't even true, most of that "20%" was in Russian control since 2014 directly or indirectly through the Russian funded and armed separatist movements, LPR and DPR.

In reality they gained a fraction of that since 2022. They only gained the land bridge to Crimea and they had to level the entire city of Mariupol just to gain that much. Even today the town of Bahkmut is not even under their control.

The main economic regions of Ukraine are still in Ukrainian control, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv , Odessa, Kherson and of course Kyiv and Liviv, etc.

Ukraine is not wining this conflict mate. They (Ukrainians) are just extending the inevitable. Soldiers and civilians dying during that period. The Ukrainian Army no longer has the manpower to push Russia back to its original borders. A lot of media fanfare over small Ukrainian victories. It is now becoming a very unpopular conflict for the west. Much like Vietnam was for the US.

West does want it to happen actually.
Therefore supplies are " cool " and it isn't proxy war.
Nothing personal, they initially decided that any heavy weapons will not be even sold to Ukraine....
Later started to supply something and talking loud talks.
Something not " mountains with iron ".

Putin deploys additional 900-1000 tanks ....
West supplies in best case still lesser than 100 tanks and vuala, additional 10 museum exponats Leopard I. It still is usable as self propelled field gun....

When invasion 2022 started Germany initially assigned helmets and approx 1 b EUR their taxpayers money as financial assistance.
While old Taurus missiles they still didn't had sent.
