It includes all sorts of services that don't do anything to make equipment, provide fuel, etc. Russia is still a much smaller economy than, say the USA, but if we're measuring industry it produces more steel and what not than Florida.

Btw in 1920 ies some ppl, including politicians advocated that better is to invest in large size battleships rather than to develop aircraft carriers, to build more submarines and torpedo boats + destroyers.
Actually stuff they didn't recognised as very important ....in 1939-1945 appeared most valuable....
While large battleships with artillery ....appeared lesser worth in war, easier to detect, more expensive to build and.... easier to destroy. Especially after naval radars era started.

It is smaller economy than South Korea and now even can't produce bearings for uranium enrichment centrifuges....

I'll agree with you somewhat in that besides a few nations like US, NATO was a bit of paper tiger. That was mostly due to the fact they underrated the threat Russia possessed to them, especially the European nations. Luckily Putin's invasion reminded them and even drove two previously neutral nations into NATO. Hell even Germany is militarizing.

Ukraine is not wining this conflict mate. They (Ukrainians) are just extending the inevitable. Soldiers and civilians dying during that period. The Ukrainian Army no longer has the manpower to push Russia back to its original borders. A lot of media fanfare over small Ukrainian victories. It is now becoming a very unpopular conflict for the west. Much like Vietnam was for the US.

If Pope was Benedict XVI or John Paul II Vatican reaction had been different.

The reason why Ukr is asking for Ussr era weapons is simple: then they might use trophy ammo and....does have technicians with experience to repair them. So there they might immediately start to use them and there will not been needed western investments in time and money to train in EU....for example technicians for repair.
