what is your explanation for the current situation? Why is the war not over?

I mean, I think you have to be a complete child to expect an expedient end for a conflict of this scale between peer level opponents and it demonstrates your clear lack of military history knowledge or even other current conflicts.

Well, the other alternative is that NATO is weak. Either they are deliberately prolonging this war, or they are really trying to end it - but failing.

How is NATO weak? They are not fighting in this war.
When countries in Europe is giving aide they do it as countries not as NATO. All decisions / restrictions /sanctions has been done by EU.

Ironically, before the war there was a lot of talk that NATO was a has been and really had no purpose.
Suddenly that changed.

Your little worrying Nicaragua thread didn't gain much traction huh?;)
No worries, we'll just go back to explaining basic stuff to you in here.

Mods sent his trash thread to the dump where it belongs lmao.

Russia went from "lol they have a smaller GDP than California" to "peer level opponent" very quickly...

They are peers to Ukraine a country with the GDP of Peru.

Are you denying that this is a proxy war?

Who invaded Ukraine?
Who started the war?
Who is fighting in the theater across Ukraine?

Its a war between Russia and Ukraine.

If you by proxy mean USA/NATO/EU and who ever started the war..., then no, I dont believe that.

Okay, keep believing that NATO is not involved. My life doesn't change at all and I don't care about proving you wrong.

For those of you following the Ukrainian war, just to give an idea of deindustrialization, Russia is struggling to meet a daily shell expenditure of 20-30,000 shells fired per day. Ukraine often fires just 5k shells per day or even less. As a counterexample, Germany once fired 3.2 million shells in one day during Operation Michael.

During WW1, while under blockade, Germany was manufacturing 11 million shells per month, with a daily fire rate of 300,000 shells.

Now fair enough that they didn't have smart munitions back then, but most artillery fire in this war is still dumb shells that aren't that different from those used 100 years ago.

I mean both are true statements.

Russia has a smaller economy than California and they're a peer level opponent compared to Ukraine.
Does Russia really have the same GDP as California?!?
That is a whole lot of weak sauce, if true. Considering the size of Russia.

No, California GDP is much higher actually. Like 3x the size.

Russia's economy is smaller than Texas and New York. It's about the same size as Florida.

Most Russian artillery don't even have timed fuses, they're pure dumb fire impact munitions which the US stopped using in the 1940s.
