125k overall or just russian? If just Russian, seems to correspond with this reporting of about 120k Russian.

this wasn’t the times doing research tho like I guess they are doing, they just citing numbers a US official told them

125k overall casualties for rus, as in dead plus wounded

(Nyt and "official" has overall at 300k for rus)

Ukr most likely had get new toys. If it is reality, I'm not sure so take it with grain of salt.
Estonian unmanned ground robots TheMiS...
It is small unmanned ground apparattus on tracks.
It might be used for supplies to frontlines, evacuation tasks , to carry ATGM or in reality also SAM launchers boxes... firing post with heavy machine gun and automatic grenade launcher too might be installed.

In short it might seriously reduce frontline troops KIA numbers... if will be supplied in sufficient numbers...
Plus cos this does have diesel and electric egine, in electric mode it creates lesser thermal signature than human...
Also might be used as remotely managed firing post.
Info via cable or radiolink...
Or AI mode to guard some object, however this they not likely had supplied ( with AI solutions ).

Ukr might be really lucky if batch was not just few apparatus for test.

This THeMIS stuff is interesting stuff
milremrobotics.com
Now looks that even wiki does have article about this suff.
Earlier they had some deals with U.S, Israel, France, Netherlands...

Looks like just 14 devices for Ukr.
Sadly that not more.

dunno why you would think I am posting CTs, when I literally post the most respected news sources. I posted the NYT, citing US officials. If you disagree, aren’t you the one posting a CT, as that is US officials? Are you dumb?

it is truly bizarre, but also hilarious, to see these lintard dorks cry about mainstream media trying to accurately report on the conflict and then rheeee when it is bot the narrative they want. The term beautiful disaster comes to mind

Good video, long-term view applies to ground forces too imo.

Your CT du jour is that the US is misreporting their estimates for casualties.

that is weird US officials would have it so off and/or knowingly lie about it[/QUOTE]

The article clearly quotes officials:
The officials cautioned that casualty figures remained difficult to estimate because Moscow is believed to routinely undercount its war dead and injured, and Kyiv does not disclose official figures. But they said the slaughter intensified this year in eastern Ukraine and has continued at a steady clip as a nearly three-month-old counteroffensive drags on.

If you kept up with the conversation the problem is how casualties are reported. If ever reported, on both sides. Are DPR/LNR, Wagner, international volunteers, convicts, the other dozen PMC's being counted?

Busy playing with the train set his parents bought him for Christmas

You're busy writing fanfiction(or hatefiction) about me.

Almost my entire train collection comes from my dead grandfather and the magical world he created over 60 years.

it's especially weird on a site like sherdog.

i just want to come to this thread, read about recent developments and engage in balanced discussions.

how are we 300 pages in and nothing of significance has happened since the battle of bakhmut?

how much territory has the UA taken back since then?

like 4 k of empty land, but listening to these dorks you would think this conflict is at its final stage (aka fall of moscow)

What you are doing, is taking two different sources who came to two different estimates based off of different data, of which the sources are quite clear, and claiming the US publication must be lying.

You really aren't too good at this comrade.

Joint war games conducted by the U.S., British and Ukrainian militaries anticipated such losses but envisioned Kyiv accepting the casualties as the cost of piercing through Russia’s main defensive line, said U.S. and Western officials.
But Ukraine chose to stem the losses on the battlefield and switch to a tactic of relying on smaller units to push forward across different areas of the front. That resulted in Ukraine making incremental gains in different pockets over the summer.
They seem vaguely upset that Ukrainian high command didn't want to suffer catastrophic casualties to meet the timetable. It sounds smart to me, throwing men away is dumb.
