So finally got around to watching this... Dang!
@Denter @Cole train timestamped the section where he talks about two studies on the effectiveness of DPICM vs regular artillery by American Military re previous discussion over how big a deal cluster is.
In short blanketing a 100m2 area with a projectile is multiple times more effective than obliterating a 5m2 area with a projectile.
obviously he is being advised by our starcraft general..What the actual fuck? Ok, you've got to come clean about what you didn't in the military, because this is hands down the dumbest idea I've seen floated in any of these megathreads.
What the Ukrainian plan is for the last six-months, has been pretty clear. They are spreading the front as long as possible. They are doing this to fix Russian positions and logistic routes. This makes sense because the Ukrainians have been better at moving with speed. Ukraine has the advantage in logistics and supply, and this has been evident for over a year now. It would be stupid to try and consolidate a mass of Ukrainian armor in specific points and allow the Russians freedom of movement. So what you see now is the slow grind of pushing up to the Russian front, hitting the rear with better and more accurate artillery, and starving those units off.
But you want the Ukraine to conduct a massive air drop behind enemy lines? You want them to take slow moving aircraft (guys ain't jumping from high-altitude or fast moving planes), run the gauntlet of anti-air where they'll probably lose 70% in the sky, so that they can then drop a mass of troops into positions where they would have a fucking minefield to their rear; troops plus reserves to their front; and the whole time being within russian artillery range without armor support and without fixed positions to use as cover.
Christ, if I was a russian soldier who stumbled upon a magic lamp and got the opportunity to make a magic wish and force the Ukrainians to make the dumbest decision imaginable, a massive airborne assault would be exactly what I'd choose.
Are you just making this shit up as you go along?
You have not shut me up yet dude. I'm still here talking.yeah man, historically speaking no one has ever breeched a defensive position in the history of warfare. They are doomed.
I can always count on the thread 'idiot' to contribute something positive.Just when I think @ferrisjso has beaten him out for worst poster in this thread, @San Marino gulps air like a bullfrog and then belts out some god awful racket
Blah, blah, blah. Can you summarize that 'garbage' in one paragraph please. What the actual fuck? Ok, you've got to come clean about what you didn't in the military, because this is hands down the dumbest idea I've seen floated in any of these megathreads.

No, that would actually be you thinking of the Ukrainian offensive. Man, I thought you were more mature than this shit.San Marino thinking about Russian defense lines:

Check under the "Dunning-Kruger Effect."he's still claiming to be a US army veteran. it's quite funny.
Blah, blah, blah. Can you summarize that 'garbage' in one paragraph please.
Tell me about your vast military experience:
. Branch of service
. MOS
. Units
. Deployments
. Rank
. Time in service
I'm guessing you were either Navy or Air Force. Looks like you missed the part about a night drop. Minefields in the rear? Reserves to the front? Was this not what the Americans did during the D day invasion in WWII? 82nd and 101st.
There were some sort of ban regarding conscription and Chechnya and Dagestan. Like, if you are registered there you are not conscripted. I think in Dagestan there were some changes but not sure.Begin conscription? I dont think it ever ended they are just going abut it a different way. Instead of announcing a mass conscription which caused 750,000 ish people to leave country now they are doing it electronically so the said person cant just hide when officers come to door. Not sure if those numbers are even accurate as these areas know they have been targeted way more then Moscow or St. Petersburgh.
Me too.lmao
. Dagestan Republic, 2.6% mobilized. There were some sort of ban regarding conscription and Chechnya and Dagestan. Like, if you are registered there you are not conscripted. I think in Dagestan there were some changes but not sure.
Me too.

Isn’t mobilized people are those who served some years in army?. Dagestan Republic, 2.6% mobilized.

You have not shut me up yet tough guy. I'm still here talking.
I'm talking about the current Russian defenses in Ukraine bight boy. Not French or German.
Tell me exactly, in your infinite wisdom, how the Ukrainian Army is going to get through that?
I'm sure you have plenty of experience in that area do you not?

But there still were scandals with those who lives and registered outside - violence, sexual violence and stuff.
