Crime Ross Ulbricht Pardoned

I wouldn't call them safe. Yes they are presented honestly but they certainly are not safe. But I understand your wording now. Thank you
i mean, many consumable products are not safe. the questions are how safe are they, how safe can they be, and how often they are used? there are many legal consumables that are not safe, and i think that's okay. there are also many illegal consumables that are not safe, and legalizing them can only make them safer.

Potentially, yes. I do understand where you are coming from but I personally do not see the merit in many of these drugs "safe" or otherwise being easily accessible.

the more illegal they are, the more "black market" they become, and thus, there is less telling what's inside them. i sold/traded a little bit of blow and weed in high school like a lot of kids did, and i can say for a fact blow was often cut with all KINDS of different shit. i can only imagine what's in things now.

people who are addicted to drugs are going to do them no matter what the legality is, and for people who aren't addicted, the legality doesn't mean anything. they will use as needed/wanted and the demand is low.

the safest possible outcome is education regarding drug abuse and long-term use effects, rehabilitation funding, and legality/regulation for every single recreational drug there is.

Maybe so. I have not done an exorbitant amount of research on the topic, so a lot of this is just personal experience and feelings for me.

I see no reason for pot to be criminalized when cigarettes aren't. But meth, heroine, crack/cocaine? Idk man. I can't get my head around it

I am trying to remember all the details, this guy made the dark web forum that allowed all those illegal things to happen but he wasn't directly involved in the transitions ? I know he was a hardcore libertarian.

He was taking a cut from every transaction and knew they were happening. If I have a warehouse full of drug dealers and take a cut from every sale and am fully aware they're dealing drugs in my warehouse then realistically I'm going to be in a lot of shit.

Ah ok he was skimming off the top no matter the transaction, he got life without parole I think right?

Yeah two life sentences plus x amount of years just in case he resurrected twice.

President Donald Trump, fulfilling a promise made at the Libertarian Party's National Convention in May, pardoned Ross Ulbricht today. Ulbricht had been serving a life sentence for his role in founding and operating the dark web marketplace Silk Road.

As Trump put it in a Truth Social post: "in honor of [his mother Lyn Ulbricht], and the Libertarian Movement, which supported me so strongly, it was my pleasure to have just signed a full and unconditional pardon of her son, Ross." He said "the scum that worked to convict him were some of the same lunatics who were involved in the modern-day weaponization of government against me."

Pretty wild. I didn't think this guy would ever get out. I recommend American Kingpin for a read or listen to the case file podcast episodes on this story if you guys aren't familiar with the case.
I didn't have pardoning online purveyors of drugs and weapons on my bingo card, fuck knows what libertarians have to do with it..

What crimes is Biden trying to cover up for these pardons?
That's the beauty of a pre-emptive pardon that is backdated to certain timelines for some strange reason. It stops potential investigations into wrongdoing, since it's a pointless endeavor because they all have immunity. You should be asking if they did nothing wrong, why the pardons? Is the thought process here, is that Trump is just gonna make some shit up to charge them with? He can do that with or without the pardons, if he were to be so bold. Just plant some drugs in Fauci's house. Done. He ain't pardoned for that.

You're not one of those people who believes those pardons will be looked upon as a concerned old man just protecting his administration and family from mean old Trump, are you? It just looks corrupt, because it is. Don't be delusional. Imagine if Trump had done it, and what you'd be saying about it. That's what the vast majority of people think about Biden's pardons. The (D) does not shield him form the most obvious conclusions one can make about the whole deal. C'mon now.

The stench of hypocrisy over these last minute pardons by Biden is maddening.

It's no surprise that all the core traffic in the WR is funneling through the Israel backedElon Musk making nazi gestures thread.

Mainstream media is happy to deflect all the attention towards utterly stupid conversations.

i mean, does he get back on the silk road to make safe drugs easier to access? if so, that's a win.

This is a pretty odd thing to say considering the main reason for Silk Road's downfall was that it was directly linked to multiple overdose deaths.

Not even getting into the fact that hitmen and human traffickers offered their services on the site..
