Reinier de ridder submits Khamzat

RDR is the fight I want to see, but I agree with other posters. Khamzat spends a large chunk of time on the feet against RDR. Why? Because Khamzat being the better wrestler dictates terms. So RDR has to pressure Khamzat standing which then leaves him open. So again, that's the fight I want, but I wouldn't bet against Khamzat. If RDR can somehow get Khamzat down to the ground then things get interesting, but that's a big ass if.

Khamzat will just ride RDR w the waistlock for 25 minutes. There is no jiujitsu counter for hat. There will never be an evolution in the sport that can stop that.

Reindeer can deliver some brutal knees standing. It's one of his biggest weapons and he hurts dudes with it. The striking probably wouldn't just be some one sided affair with Khamzat dominating. Of course Khamzat could maybe flatline him with a good shot.

I don't see anyone beating Khamzat right now. Nobody is gonna be able to keep up with that pace Khamzat showed last night especially for 25 minutes.

I do.

But it's not at 185lbs, and it's not Alex Pereira. I don't really see many difficult challenges at either MW or LHW except for Ankalaev to be honest.

RDR is such a shitty wrestler I don't think his submissions would matter. Short of a Werdum/Fedor off the back hailmary I give him essentially zero outs in that fight.

What about a sweep to get on top? Or a knee strike knockdown to get on top?

I think Fluffy puts up a better fight than RDR

I think Khamzats wrestling and general explosiveness is an area RDR can’t match him. I see Chimaev being the better TD artist, the better positional grappler, and having the speed advantage throughout

Sure RDR is extremely saavy on the ground but positional prowess can prevent being in submission trouble. Something Khamzat definitely has, that prowess

Fluffy and Imanov are the biggest threats . Caio an RDR are no threat as Khsmzat is much better at what they do best . Imanov and Fluffy are balanced and have a,shot.

I do.

Yup, nobody at 185 is fckn with Khamzat. Love me some Poatan, but Khamzat does the same thing to Alex as he did to Dricus.

Ankalaev vs Chimaev would be very interesting. He's the only guy that could have a shot at beating Chimaev, but even at that I'm not so sure. It would then be a question of how would Ank do against the suffocating pace of Chimaev for 25 minutes.

& unlike Islam & Belal, Ank & Kham would be down to fight each other. So there's a chance we see that fight in the future.

Would be more boring than this fight. Khamzat would tske no chances and just lay an pray and dry hump him.25 minutes . No fight I want to see. Fluffy and Imanov give a solid fight

<Huh2>
Everyone is bound to pick fights wrong at times but goobers like TS who make predictions with such arrogance and conviction do nothing but make themselves look foolish.

The same guy that struggled with whitetaker for 5 rounds and nearly got finished?

did you watch the fight today? RDR and DDP both have great JJ but no TDD, khamzat will dominate RDR , maybe not on the ground but he will definitely push his shit in against the cage.

Feed RDR to Dricuss, if he survives then we can talk.
This, I bet DDP ragdolls RDR. He just does not have the whole package. He beat Bo, who is honestly just not championship material, and he beat Whittaker, who had a great run and was champion, but was never a world beater and at this point is a gatekeeper at best.

I think Fluffy will beat RDR, and it will always be a "what if" scenario, where people will be sad that he never got the titleshot vs Khamzat.

Khamzat destroys RDR all day and every day. I really like RDR, but he has nothing for Khamzat. Also, his cardio sucks.

Not so fast. RDR has a guard and that was sorely lacking from DDPs game plan. RDR went 12 minutes with Andre Galvao three years ago. I know Galvao isn't the animal he once was but he still a beast, RDR isn't going to fear going to the ground from a submission perspective (RDR did fine against Tye Ruotolo as well). Now he might regret that decision, but to summarily dismiss RDR as having no chance is nonsense. He is a big dude with completely legit grappling skills. So much so that I wouldn't be surprised if Khamzat wants to keep it standing. I do favor Khamzat in the matchup, but I'd like to see what RDR could do.

As crazy as Khamzat acts, he doesn't fight to his opponents' strengths. He will likely strike and fence-fight De Ridder instead of making it a chess match on the ground.
Bad choice against RdR. That flying knee would deplete khamzat. Borz is not exactly a smooth striker and the pressure is constant. You're right RdR got the best chance because he can threaten khamzat on the ground like Burns, except he's arguably bigger than khamzat too, which so far khamzat had a size advantage against all of his opponents

<Huh2>
Brutal.
