Sherdog does not reflect the MMA community.
It is it's own echo chamber.

I did a quick google.

Per the report, Asia’s largest sports media property sits second in the world for total video views, behind only the National Basketball Association (NBA), and it far outpaces any other sports property in terms of growth over the past year.

ONE amassed nearly 14 billion total video views across the social media platforms, compared to the UFC, which rounded out the top five with just over 6.6 billion.

Both martial arts organizations saw continued growth in terms of followers in 2021. ONE saw a 24% growth, with the UFC growing by 19%.

Nielsen also posted the global cumulative reach for sports properties.

“Whilst social media followers and video views continue to grow, the strength of TV as a primary source of content consumption still endures,” the report said.

ONE reached the top five in global cumulative TV reach with 406 million, while the UFC came in at number nine with 259 million.

“TV broadcast remains strong and continues to deliver high viewership, but growth is largely driven by digital and social video consumption. It is paramount for sports organizations to develop a dynamic video strategy, thereby increasing the reach of their property,” the report’s summary stated.

Absolute fughazi.

Just another champ outside of the UFC who makes bold claims about beating guys they can’t fight

Been hearing that from Pitbull for what feels like 10 years lol

Respect to these guys, but if you wanna prove you’re the best, come to the UFC

How does OneFC stay in business??

Honestly, it doesn't seem like they generate much revenue, they pay out pretty well...

is it a legit business or a money laundering front?
Is the owner using it as a write off against another profitable business?

Massive asian audience. The shows are actually pretty cool in how they show a lot of types of fighting.

They went another 150+ in the hole this year, so who knows wtf is going on with that organization.

Usually ONE fighters are pretty trash in these weight classes, but he’s interesting outside of ONE (Bellator and UFC) has trained with Mousasi.

Some peoples reckon this next fight is the last one on his ONE contract so hopefully we find out how he does in the UFC soon.
Yeah that’s what I made of my conversation with De Ridder when I met him at LFL 6 last month.
I’ve sent this to you back then:

I spoke to Reinier at LFL 6 last weekend.
He told me ONE didn’t really like the idea of a promotional newcomer getting a title shot straight away.
RDR said he’s still looking for a shot at the HW-strap, that’s his ultimate goal in ONE before going to the UFC.
If that doesn’t happen next, he enjoys the idea of defending his LHW-title against Anatoly Malykhin, since Malykhin isn’t the biggest HW around and ONE’s LHW-limit is around 225 lbs.
Having said that, I doubt de Ridder can make UFC’s MW-limit of 185 lbs

Next weeks fight against Malykhin will also be Reinier’s last fight on his ONE-contract

He also trains with Bellator middleweight-contender Costello van Steenis.
Last week at a Dutch MMA-podcast Costello revealed that he get’s tapped out in training fucking every time he rolls with Reinier, and Costello is a stud on the ground himself. He spoke very, very highly of RDR.
Just brings up the question:
“How good is Reinier De Ridder and how far can he get in the UFC?”
I guess time will tell…

Dont know who he is, checked his highlights. Likes to wrestle, looks big. He probably could beat both of these guys. Not on the same night though. But whittaker probably sparks him out cold

According to Tapology he's fighting Malykhin at HW (265) on December 2

Sherdog says "225 catchweight" but that would be LHW anyway for One.

Does make a lot more sense that it would be at 225, which is One's equivalent of 205

i honestly don't watch one and never heard of this guy, i looked up and he's ONE MW champion
which reminds me of askren, undefeated WW champion, shit talked his way to ufc, and got finished in fastest ko of ufc history
<JonesLaugh>
Askren got signed at the end of his career after the UFC did everything in their power to avoid signing him in his prime lol
