Jon Jones will be cleared to compete within a year from now, and he will eventually be the chosen one who gets to dethrone the HW king, Stipe Miocic! And I also predict that the guy that eventually dethrones him (oh yes...) will be... Francis Ngannou! Imagine The Predator being the guy that catches Jones and leaves him laying and that's how he finally becomes the Heavyweight Champion.

Jones beating the guy that DC couldn't would be another way of Jones proving his superiority over DC. I'm not saying that'd be his motivation, but that's how it would look - Jones once again excelling at something over Cormier.

For better or worse, Jones is just fated to be Cormier's daddy.

Gus would be HW champion if he moved up to that shallow ass division. Stipe is the best "imitation" of Gus, which is why he is champ. But he is certainly not as good as Gus in the standup. What mystic LockardtheGOAT suggests is not entirely far off. But I don't think Jones returns soon.

Yeah, I think Jones matches up poorly at Heavyweight, where he has less or no strength or length advantages, and a power disadvantage.
