Crime United Healthcare CEO assassinated in NYC

You're right, coffee is significantly less important than healthcare, yet Starbucks still makes 20% more in profits than the highest healthcare company.
because they have significantly lower expenses. they don't have anywhere near the same revenue lol

So has this debate been something like the leftists saying this is fair play and the righties saying that this was a bad thing?

Re: the bold text, I think this is ill-considered. These low nutrient foods tend to be the cheapest and foods that poor people unfortunately rely on so raising prices really just hurts them without giving them an alternative. One main reason there are so many fat people is they're eating what they can afford.

Or they want to eat too much so they have to buy cheaper foods.

Yeah, I bet people are subsisting on rice, pasta, and the like because they just love the blandness sooo much.
What's the problem, it's not one or the other, both are true. I'm not disagreeing, healthy food like lean meats and fish are expensive, vegetables and fruits as well, and if you want organic, well then.....

When people argue for free "universal healthcare" they don't seem to understand that no country has free healthcare. They are taxed up the ass for it at a rate that is likely higher than they pay for privatized healthcare with inferior service. The system is nowhere near perfect, but they don't understand that tax rates would rise exponentially in order to cover "free" healthcare. The only people that would really benefit from it is people who don't provide anything to society in the form of taxes.

The US pays far more per capita than people in universal healthcare countries pay in taxes. It's a fact.

no. YOU'RE almost there lol percentages mean jack shit when the raw numbers are incomparable.
How do you assess "greed" then? You just acknowledged yourself that their expenses are astronomically higher than starbucks, but for some reason it's not greedy to surround local coffee shops with Starbucks to run then out of business, then jack up the price of coffee for huge profits.

Brian Thompson's total compensation for his 3 years there was like $10M/year, while the CEO of Starbucks has a base salary of $1.6M in addition to his $10M signing bonus, plus $23M in annual stock rewards, plus a $7M yearly cash bonus, and has a net worth of $27 billion. That is raw numbers, percentages, and by any other metric more "greedy", and single people who get a cup of coffee on their way to work every morning spend more money on starbucks coffee than they do for their share of their medical insurance plan, yet this autistic clown who shot someone in the back then pissed himself didn't seem at all concerned about that "greed" and was happy to pop into starbucks on his way to murder someone.

Do you think McDonald's does any harm to people's health? The McDonald's CEO also makes more than Brian Thompson did, and old Luigi Mangina didn't seem to mind that either considering that's where he was caught, and his twitter profile was him looking gay with a happy meal. Congratulations being on team psychotic break with 0 consistency.
