Post Your Gloves/Gear

Don't worry about things like that, RE: "training gloves", "bag gloves" -- if something is referred to as being a bag glove, it just means that the seller doesn't think they're suited for sparring
Ah, ok that makes sense - thank you very much for the input! I was getting confused, because some websites were saying that bag gloves have more padding than training gloves (since hitting a bag is hard on your hands), but other websites were saying the total opposite (that bag gloves have less padding so you can get better practice at making a fist and punching). Sounds like they're all incorrect though, haha. Thank you again!

Why not try the knuckle guards with your existing gloves that might be enough and you might not want the win1. I have 14oz cleto trading gloves the padding is taking a lot to break in.
Hey again! Turns out you were right!! I just tried the Winning NG-2's with my current gloves and they are AMAZING!! I can't even believe the difference. I was wailing on my heavy bag as hard as I could (which is not very hard, hahaha) for about 15 minutes, and my knuckles felt totally fine. I couldn't even believe it. So glad I picked them up. So my Tuf-Wear bag gloves might end up being enough.

I will probably still save up for a pair of Cleto's - how do you like your 14oz pair? I'm at a height and weight where I feel like I could do either 14oz or 16oz - I end up going with the 16oz gloves because it sounds like they have more padding, correct?

Thanks again, really appreciate your help!

I like the 14oz they come in a couple of oz over in the Velcro the 16oz was too big I felt for bag and pads. That’s personal preference though really. They take While to break in too

Been a while since I posted here for whatever reason. Since my New Sporting saga shared with many of u last year I have just been lurking and using these 14oz Win1 gloves with LaceNLoop. Believe the hype on both counts!

For good measure, here are what have become my specialist double end bag gloves during the pandemic. A pair of BGV9s will go to the grave with me, I think.

Have you got a side-on pic? I sold mine because the thumb was at such a hard angle

What do you like about both pairs of gloves?
Hello mate!

BGV9s in 12oz fit my small hands perfectly and give my wrist amazing protection for some pop on the bag/pads. If I was allowed I would happily spar with them too lol. I like the watertight inner liner which doesn't allow sweat to even get through although it isn't that comfy. These also have the only velcro I can use with my girly wrists (notice where it inserts). Absolute tanks and value for money is second to none imo. Bit less comfort, but more soild with more pop for bagwork.

The Win1s were bought as general training gloves, which they fit the bill for nicely in 14oz. I'm about to order a green pair in 16oz for sparring (wishful thinking I know). They have been used for over a year and show almost no wear despite leather being so soft. They are very wide unfortunately, but apart from that nice as fuck for $100. The padding is probably just average medium density foam but inside the quality and comfort is very very good. A more luxurious option for light sparring and a bit of everything else.

I just got these through in 16oz. Haven't used them yet, but couldn't be more different to my 14oz ones without being different models. Is it the 2oz difference or has he overhauled the glove design, I wonder.

I remember that 16 OZ Top Boxer has more pillowy padding than lower OZ gloves.

I had the maroon/gold in 16oz velcro. They looked VERY different to your 14oz in the same colour. I reached out to TB a while ago and said "they are not so different" To be honest I'd love to try to the 14oz but cant be bothered with re-shipping if I dont like them.
I sold mine because of the thumb.

Padding knuckle/back hand is much softer. Wrist support is much thicker and made from softer foam, but more supportive. They are huge!!

Thumbs are the same, although maybe a touch longer.

I finally got round to adding some fly gear to the collection. These just scream quality the leather and finish is amazing the padding seems great and I really like the shape. The fit is a little tight but I have been told they will give a little as leather softens. E5197E8A-5FFE-4709-8235-0C14C1525026.jpeg

100%! I was thinking of getting the lace-up version of these because how great the leather looks. Probably might wait till Black Friday to see if these are still available.
