Crime Pittsburgh PA... The Purge is between 3am-7am every day.

Police using cheap PR and scare tactics for funding

Didn’t the ban some bullet proof windows for clerks in some stores because it’s racist in 2020 also . What a shithole . Biden’s America

By the way, wrong city and wrong year.

Biden's America is obviously now with the high crime . But yea you're right I think it was in Philly for the removing the bullet proof glass thing because it's racist.

I live less than a 1/2 mile from city limits (where this is applicable), not worried. It's always fun to see people not from the area over react to things like this. It also has nothing to do with "defunding the police", they are budgeted for 900 officers and have less than 800 on staff.

So what Biden specific policies have resulted in this in Pittsburgh?

A surprise to absolutely nobody.

Someone has to, since the police aren't going to do their job.

They don't have enough officers to cover all the shifts. Because less and less people are choosing LE as a career, at least in certain places. Why do you think that is?

FFS at least make a cursory effort to connect a couple dots...

Should be a huge success, crime rates will go down tremendously since there'll be no charges pressed.
There was an episode of The Wire in which the main police character discussed various ways politicians and police chiefs could act and frame things, using statistics to prove whatever they wanted to prove.
Crime up, crime down, arrests up, arrests down, basically anything they wanted to prove could be done by having police and the judicial system strictly enforce the law, or not.

Biden's policy of not installing Trump as president immediately upon the request of MAGA chuds has directly led to increases in crime. This is clear and obvious if you'd just take a moment to listen to what people are saying...especially Canadian sherdoggers.

They’re at 740 officers, but they have the budget for 850.
They’re running at 87% of officers, but they’re going to to stop sending officers out for crimes include thefts, harassment, criminal mischief, burglary alarms, etc. And there’s only going to be 20 officers overnite.
This sounds more like someone didn’t like that their budget got cut, so they decided to take it out on the citizens.

Yes, they have about 85% of the officers they have budgeted for, and are only not sending them out for a 4 hour window that's...you guessed it...about 15% of the hours in a 24 hour period. Hmm.

So no, the issue isn't budgetary. They have the $ to pay officers, they simply can't find enough people that are applying for the jobs to fill all the shifts. So again, why might they be getting that many less applicants to fill the spots that retiring officers are vacating? Any sentiments that have garnered attention in the last few years that might just dissuade someone from pursuing a career in LE? C'mon, I bet if you really try you can come up with it.

Somebody call Charles Bronson! He can patrol the streets from 3-7AM.

You mean something like a pandemic, and not having a class of police recruits for two years.

An equal opportunity statement? The horror. Thanks Biden!

Circle the fucking drain. Reap what you sow.

On a serious note though I've always suspected stuff like this to be a precursor to a military style police force with an iron fist. Authoritarianism. Throw a problem at the peasants. Make them desperate for a solution.....
