Opinion PINO - Populist In Name Only

"PINO" is not the best acronym because it sounds like the final stage of based.

I don't get people like you. When someone realizes they may have made a mistake, assuming he even did vote for Trump, why do snobs like you have to jump all over him with the "I told you so's"?

Guess what dude, you're not perfect either, and I have much more respect for the man that can admit he's wrong or was misled, than the immature idiocy of piling on someone because they are actually agreeing with you now. Isn't that why you hate Trump anyways? Because he never admits he's wrong and thinks he's the 2nd coming of Jesus or something? This world would be a better place if more people admitted they aren't perfect.

How old are you anyways? Like 12?
he doesn't agree with me, he doesn't like trump now because he isn't populist enough. It's still trash ideological thinking even if he still isn't idolizing trump.

Crying over shit in the war room, lol

fuck your feelings, snowflake, cuck, etc. you guys are such babies.

Wasn't he extremely racist?

He was born in the 1850s and has nothing on Woodrow Wilson. I'd say a handful of antiquated social views by 2025 standards are pretty easily superseded by being the tip of the spear to ending the egregious abuses of the Gilded Age. This despite being a man of means himself who undermined the interests of his own socioeconomic class. He broke corporate monopolies, enacted the first significant consumer production laws in US history, conserved over 230 million acres of public owned wilderness as a gift to the American people and all future generations, massively expanded global commerce with the construction of the Panama Canal, and organized numerous peace deals to end or avoid wars. He's GOAT Level.

(FWIW, he was also the first POTUS to invite a prominent African American to the White House for dinner in an official capacity and caught enormous shit for it. Fast forward over half a century after Teddy's death, and the man who would be President for the majority of the 1980s is on the phone with Nixon excoriating black diplomats and referring to them as monkeys, FFS.)

Well, we won't lol.

We will either eat shit or eat dog shit.
It's hard but not impossible.

Problem is getting Americans to understand how much your voting system has entrenched the two party system.

You get chances to implement Ranked Voting and no longer have to chose between eating shit or eating dog shit... and they get voted down.

People like to blame politicians and there are certainly a lot of politicians that want to keep the status quo. But it's also politicians trying to bring Ranked Choice Voting and then having it get shot down that's preventing it.

What about the populist things he's done? Why just include the seemingly non-populist things (as described)? What about the populist issues (usually ones that are 80-20 issues) that people generally attribute to populism, like ending illegal immigration, getting men out of women's sports, implementing tariffs in the first place, etc.? Why did you choose to only present one side of it?
I mostly like what he's doing with immigration. I'm not sure I would classify women's sports as a populist issue.. I would call it more of broader right vs left culture war issue. As for tariffs, the way he's implementing them will probably cause inflation and as I already mentioned his exemptions are going to be another upward transfer of wealth. So I'm not a fan of what he's doing there.

Exhibit G - "Charles Schwab made 2.5 billion today"
That day, on April 9, Trump bragged that he had made billionaire Charles Schwab a lot of money.

“This is Charles Schwab. It’s not just a company; it’s actually an individual,” Trump said in a video released on X by White House staffer Margo Martin. “He made two-and-a-half billion today and he made $900 million. That’s not bad.”
While everyone else was left wondering what was going to happen next with the on and off liberation day tariffs, it would seem some billionaires got a heads up. Great job looking out for the little guy.

Border Security, for sure. The work there has been nothing short of historic, full credit. Immigration has jumped the gun with the invocation of the Alien Enemies Act (which never ends well) and due process violations. It's a big red flag, hit the brakes thing that I can not condone in good conscience.

Also just wait for Exhibit H* when these motherfuckers start trying to hack away at the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Safe Drinking Water Act, lol. There are already signs pointing in that direction with some of these putrid EOs, Kongress is down and ready to rock. This is true prosperity, and the people love the taste of radioactive waste. Like, don't you dare try and deprive me of my god-given freedumbs to destroy wilderness and eradicate endangered species. I dunno know about you boys, but I'm still a mortal human over here. I stepped on lego barefoot this morning, and it fucking hurt. I don't believe that breathing in toxic fumes or drinking contaminated water would be a good thing for me.

I wish McRaven would run

I think America might go for a woman if they were put forward by the Republicans.

If the Democrats put forward a woman, the Reps will be on overdrive with their rampant sexism and abject terror of being ruled by a female, but inversely, I can't see the Democrats pushing back in that same way. The fact she would be a female leading the Republican party would be seen as ironic, probably, but ultimately it would be accepted by the left.

Some might even switch aisles to vote for a (slightly moderate) female President.

Traditional Republican voters would never do that for a female Dem President.

One loses any potential credibility when they only use juvenile monikers when attempting to make a point...

I love to see people complain about the elite “hating workers” and have vehemently voted for the union busting party for the last 30 years.
It’s amazing the lack of self awareness some people have

Nobody's crying over anything. If you expect to have half-way sincere conversations here, then people should be allowed to admit that they've changed their mind.

And guess what, you hate what Trump is doing? With the childish way you act, nobody is going to stop supporting that asshole Trump when you have assholes like yourself berating them for actually changing their minds and thereby support.

And it's just so ironic that you would say "crying over shit in the war room, lol" - is that your version of "it's just locker room talk"?

Is that what you want the war room to be? Some low-brow name calling arena devoid of any sincerity? Are you really that immature that you derive pleasure out of berating people? Jesus dude. You sound exactly like Trump. You're no different than all of the people you criticize and you aren't even aware of it.
