Opinion PINO - Populist In Name Only

He’s a fascist psychopath. We don’t need to throw out results or a new election, we need an impeachment and conviction.

Fuck every single person that voted for this. This is going to be very difficult to get ourselves out of, and even if we do the blueprint is laid out. We may seriously be cooked.

There are really no words to describe how livid I was with Biden-Harris over border security and immigration policy at the time he wrote that. Yet one post ended any possibility -- terminate the Constitution? And why put Founders in sneer quotes. Get the fuck outta here. Oh, and there was also this little thing. Everyone focuses almost entirely on the ruckus at the Capitol.

The Trump fake electors plot was an attempt by U.S. president Donald Trump and associates to have him remain in power after losing the 2020 United States presidential election. After the results of the election determined Trump had lost, he, his associates, and Republican Party officials in seven battleground states devised a scheme to submit fraudulent certificates of ascertainment to falsely claim Trump had won the Electoral College vote in crucial states. The plot was one of Trump and his associates' attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election.

Here is a list, along with their respective ages upon taking office for your enjoyment. Polk is easily amongst the most effective presidents of all time and didn't seek re-election, although he certainly didn't help alleviate the sectional crisis any more than the rest of the one-term cans who ran the country from 1837 up to Lincoln.

1789-1797: George Washington (57)
1797-1801: John Adams (61)
1801-1809: Thomas Jefferson (57)
1809-1817: James Madison (57)
1817-1825: James Monroe (58)
1825-1829: John Quincy Adams (57)
1829-1837: Andrew Jackson (61)
1837-1841: Martin Van Buren (54)
1841-1841: William Henry Harrison (68)
1841-1845: John Tyler (51)

1850-1853: Millard Fillmore (50)
1853-1857: Franklin Pearce (48)
1857-1861: James Buchanan (65)
1861-1865: Abraham Lincoln (52)
1865-1869: Andrew Johnson (56)
1869-1877: Ulysses S. Grant (46)
1877-1881: Rutherford Hayes (54)
1881-1881: James Garfield (49)
1881-1885: Chester Arthur (51)
1885-1889: Grover Cleveland (47)
1889-1893: Benjamin Harrison (55)
1893-1897: Grover Cleveland (55)
1897-1901: William McKinley (54)
1901-1909: Theodore Roosevelt (42)
1909-1913: William Howard Taft (51)
1913-1921: Woodrow Wilson (56)
1921-1923: Warren G. Harding (55)
1923-1929: Calvin Coolidge (51)
1929-1933: Herbert Hoover (54)
1933-1945: Franklin D. Roosevelt (51)
1945-1953: Harry Truman (60)
1953-1961: Dwight Eisenhower (62)
1961-1963: John F. Kennedy (43)
1963-1969: Lyndon B. Johnson (55)
1969-1974: Richard Nixon (56)
1974-1977: Gerald Ford (61)
1977-1981: Jimmy Carter (52)
1981-1989: Ronald Reagan (69)
1989-1993: George H.W. Bush (64)
1993-2001: Bill Clinton (46)
2001-2009: George W. Bush (54)
2009-2017: Barack Obama (47)
2017-2021: Donald J. Trump (70)
2021-2025: Joe Biden (78)
2025-2029: Donald J. Trump (78)
The craziest part of that list is John Tyler still has a living grandson.

I am so with you on the fake elector scheme—that was much worse. I think if Trump had ever gone to trial for it, people’s views might’ve changed. But without that, it just wasn’t as visible an event as J6, it’s complicated and people don’t understand it.

As you know, as a Dem voter in WI, I am one of the people whose votes he tried to illegally disregard, and I’m pretty pissed about that. I’m pissed that we didn’t get justice, and I’m pissed that many people whom he tried to disenfranchise in those 7 states were willing to just give their votes to him in 2024. A lot of them must’ve done that for him to win all 7 swing states, Totally infuriating.

That is genuinely fascinating, thanks. I had no idea. I've always felt bad for Teddy's boys. No fortunate sons.

TL;DR: All of Theodore Roosevelt’s four sons answered the call to military service. Sadly, three of them – Ted, Quentin, and Kermit – died as a result of their service. The only surviving son, Archie, a highly decorated combat veteran, sustained serious injuries in both world wars. Interestingly, Archie Roosevelt was the only United States soldier to receive 100 percent disability as a result of wounds sustained in each of the world wars.

My daughter did a report on Tyler, when she was younger. I know all kind of Tyler facts.
He had 15 children with 2 wives, his first wife passed away and he remarried.
Tyler is responsible for the VP for becoming President. When Harrison died, the Constitution did not specify if the VP was a temporary role or permanent President. Tyler was like I am President, which caused some of his opponents to call him The Usurper and to call him, His Accidency.
OK President. He annexed Texas, big on states' rights, his party(Whig) kicked him out while President, and joined the Confederates during the Civil War. Also with 15 kids, He apparently liked to fuck.

How you been, dude?

So, who's going to be the guy or gal in 2028? It's an absolutely critical question that needs answering. Trump is doing a lot of reckless damage in the interim, but America is a truly surreal and resilient beast. I would not bet on the economy being in shambles when it's really going to matter, and simply being anti-MAGA isn't enough. I wish someone like Jason Crow had at least more of a mainstream profile (entered Congress the same year as AOC). He absolutely annihilated Gabbard and the two generals present at the Signal hearing in a very uncharacteristic way from a Democrat representative, I almost felt second-hand embarrassment for them.

<{Heymansnicker}>

Oh.

Crow is a former Army Ranger. He completed three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the 82nd Airborne Division and 75th Ranger Regiment. In 2003, as a platoon leader in the 82nd Airborne Division, he participated in the Battle of Samawah and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

Like annihilating Gabbard is some feat.

She is dumb as hell lmao.

The Jan 6 riot was not the coup attempt, it was an active measure to coerce congress into delaying the acceptance of election results in conjunction with the fake electors plot.

Thanks for his service and all, but do you think being in the armed forces is a necessary qualifications to run a country?

There are clearly no qualifications necessary anymore, but that was more in reference to him publicly dressing down the generals at the hearing. Generals who could not even identify anti-aircraft systems being deployed against the US military, it's fucking embarrassing. It's not necessarily an endorsement for Crow as POTUS (lol), I am simply asking a Dem stalwart where they plan to go and believe it would hurt absolutely nothing for his profile to rise within a party that people claim is suffering from a "masculinity crisis" and losing young men in droves. He didn't just serve; he was 75RR.

The 75th Ranger Regiment, also known as the Army Rangers, is the premier light infantry and direct-action raid force of the United States Army Special Operations Command. The 75th Ranger Regiment is also part of Joint Special Operations Command via the Regimental Reconnaissance Company (RRC). The regiment is composed of a regimental headquarters company, a military intelligence battalion, a special troops battalion, and three Ranger battalions. The 75th Ranger Regiment primarily handles direct action raids in hostile or sensitive environments, often killing or capturing high-value targets. Other missions include airfield seizure, special reconnaissance, personnel recovery, clandestine insertion, and site exploitation. The regiment can deploy one Ranger battalion within eighteen hours of alert notification.

Totally representative of the left. If you arent in 100% agreement with their side, you support Trump.

I'm not seeing an argument here. Fascism always rides on the back of fake populism, and OP is simply demonstrating a case study.

His last line is the saddest part of this.

They won't say in a congressional hearing this is wrong and we won't do it again because they literally plan to keep doing it.

It’s fairly disturbing to have a Lieutenant General who apparently can’t see shit whether he’s wearing his glasses or not, eh? <lol>Like wtf was that ?

I’ve been wondering the same thing about what Dem could be the 2028 nominee. Assuming things are normal-ish—that is, assuming Trump doesn’t try and run again or there isn’t some fucked up fascist takeover and we still have normal elections and all of that—there will be primaries on both sides so a lot of shakeups could happen.

While I like the work that Bernie and AOC are doing, he is too old and she is too left, plus is a woman of color, and I don’t see those as being winners, sadly. If we run a woman it should probably be someone like Klobuchar and maybe not even at the top of the ticket. I like Jason Crow, I’ve always liked Pete (but I don’t have faith in America to vote for a gay dude either), maybe Mark Kelly?

this is what you voted for...

this will be especially funny to see how the usual maga crowd reacts to one of their own leaving the cult
I don't get people like you. When someone realizes they may have made a mistake, assuming he even did vote for Trump, why do snobs like you have to jump all over him with the "I told you so's"?

Guess what dude, you're not perfect either, and I have much more respect for the man that can admit he's wrong or was misled, than the immature idiocy of piling on someone because they are actually agreeing with you now. Isn't that why you hate Trump anyways? Because he never admits he's wrong and thinks he's the 2nd coming of Jesus or something? This world would be a better place if more people admitted they aren't perfect.

How old are you anyways? Like 12?

I am speaking about how people hate one Holmes even though he’s critical of Trump

What about the populist things he's done? Why just include the seemingly non-populist things (as described)? What about the populist issues (usually ones that are 80-20 issues) that people generally attribute to populism, like ending illegal immigration, getting men out of women's sports, implementing tariffs in the first place, etc.? Why did you choose to only present one side of it?

kelly would be my choice, impeccable record, not a woman, america wont go for a woman yet, and has the gravitas and respect to repair some of the damage with the rest of the world.
