A decent journalist needs to push and needs to ask tough questions that perhaps the interviewee may not like. Otherwise it’s a promotional fluff piece and that is not the job of a journalist. We have too many of those types of journalists here in Canada as fanboys of our idiot PM, and it’s allowed him to go fairly unchecked for bad and even unethical behaviour and even worse policy.
For real, if he didn't ask real questions, everyone would shit on him for being a softball John Morgan type. Asking questions to fighters that are sometimes not so comfortable means "stirring shit" and "creating drama". I haven't listened to the MMA hour in years, but the "Ariel is a drama queen shit stirrer" thing will never die I guess.Ariel will ask tough questions that to some people make him seem like a shit stirrer or instigator, but is legitimately just him doing his job to the best of his ability. He's light years beyond Morgan, Thomas and Iole, who are all cringe or putting on brown lipstick to kiss Dana's ass. Ariel is far from perfect and has his faults as a MMA media personality, but overall, there's far more good than bad, and he routinely gets great material out of fighters that no one else does.
So you agree with meDumb ass question of course the conversation is gonna be amplified if people agree on something or like/dislike the same things. It's like saying am i gonna ramble on about how much i love Metallica to a non fan? Would that go different if i was in a room with another huge fan of course it would be different. love/hate same rules apply.
LOL to you too, asshole.brave enough to not be a sycophant. LOL
Dude was literally a UFC PR person before they kicked him to the curb. Man how people seem to forget . He was the biggest dickrider of them all when Dana was giving him the sit downs and feeding him the scoops and shit.
Yes i agree with your limp dicked comment. If you say the Earth is round I will agree with that too.So you agree with me
you realize they kicked him to the curb for not being a big enough shill buddy to Dana, right?brave enough to not be a sycophant. LOL

Did u not listen to paddy? He said he had a paid interview already and ariel wanted him to leave that one for his interview so paddy said pay me, seems reasonable to mePaddy attempted to charge Helwani for an interview following his first UFC fight which Helwani declined and later disclosed to his audience. This is the genesis of their dispute.
No respectable media outlet pays athletes, entertainers, or anybody for interviews. Interviews bring exposure, normally positive, to the individual being interviewed which is why attempting to charge for one is highly unusual.
The ethicalness of Helwani disclosing this to his audience is debatable.
