Media Phil Rowe KNOWS Why it's JDM Over Buckley

You reckon? Buckley was on his way to losing vs Wonderboy and his best win is a near winless Colby Covington.

JDM showed he can wrestle and still get a finish vs Burns, but has too questionable splits vs Holland and Haffez. Neither of those should have been split decisions though. JDM clearly won both.

JDM got it off being matched with Leon. He would have put on a Brady like performance if he was given that chance and people would be talking about how much he deserves it.

1 is undefeated in the UFC, the other has been a few highlight reel finishes but looks good in his new weightclass.
I think so, I think Buckley had his way and was dominate with his last 3 performances. I think JDM struggled with Burns who I put on the same level as Colby at this point and Buckley didn't struggle at all with him. The fact he had 2 splits In a row like that is a blemish. They both make great arguments for a title shot.

What Prates KOs Garry with ease? He might leapfrog all of them
Why would he?

Why would KOing garry who was supposed to fight with buckley in the first place get him a title shot especially coming off a loss?

Prates may get an eliminator, but he's not getting past brady or buckley with this win. Brady and buckley need to fight now for the next shot. Maybe prates fights shavkat for his shot.

Lets see if people talking up Buckley's wins are the same people that always talk about how Colby was an overrated trash can even in his prime and how Wonderboy is more like Wondergrampa

Both Buckley and JDM aren't good contenders. They should fight each other for the eliminator.

I think we're at the point to where this is going to get canned. Get it out, cans, lol.

Let’s be honest, Phil Rowe might not be too far off with his comments.

Dana and the UFC have an affinity for a select few white guys… they all seem to get selective match ups and even unwarranted title shots much quicker.

- Sean O’Malley title fight coming off a loss

- Volk title fight off two KO losses

- KKF title fight with a mediocre 1-2 record in his last three fights

- JDM cuts everyone in line after doing nothing significant at WW

Then you got industry plants like Pyfer, Hooper, and Paddy being fed a steady diet of shopworn past prime fighters with full company support.

There might be other factors involved but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

Buckley was in a 50/50 fight (because of Sal D'Amato) with Wonderboy.
Wonderboy was outstriking him until the KO.http://ufcstats.com/fight-details/69bca5091b2a31f6
Credit to him for the win though.

JDM didn't struggle vs Burns. He passed the grappling test at 170 to then brutally finish him.
That was an excellent performance that answered any questions post Haffez trying to lay and pray him.
Look at the striking combinations in between. I wish we got to see JDM vs Leon, because then we would have seen how good his striking actually is. JDM is interesting because unlike Leon who is happy to survive the round, JDM will keep trying to get up and scramble.

Buckley isn't far off though. I think JDMs body of work(though less recent) is better. Wonderboy is lower than Burns.Colby shouldn't even be ranked.

Agree w Phil Rowe

JDM vs Belal makes no sense. JDM can't wrestle. Buckley can wrestle.

I don't fault UFC tho, at the end of the day its a business. white champions gonna pull in way more money.
