His defensive wrestling was good enough to pass the grappling test 2-3 x in his current run.

JDM is a great fighter.

But Buckley's performaces have been on another level.
 
Buckley should have gotten the TS imo. He's been more active, more exciting, more dominant.

He's racked up a six fight win streak in the past 18 months while in that time Jack has only fought twice with one of his wins being a splitty

I would favor giving it to the streaking guy but that's just me.
 
JDM is undefeated in the UFC, was in the middle of a training camp for Leon and had a sick finish over Burns. Higher ranked than Buckley. While Buckley had just fought and wasn’t in a training camp/fight ready. Pretty simple really.

Phil Rowe is a fucking bum who’s one loss away from getting cut and lost to Magny.

WW is a pretty tight race these days. Between Buckley, JDM, Brady, Shavkat, Prates, Morales, Garry, and maybe Leon(if he can get his head out of his ass) it's got some really compelling match ups to be made.

I'm ok with JDM getting the shot since Buckley chose to fight recently. I guess my question is where does Brady fall in the mix after JDM/Belal?? Technically he took the #2 spot from Leon after finishing him. He doesn't have the win streak Buckley, JDM, or Shavkat have but his most recent win over the former champ is more meaningful than beating a shopworn Colby and an ancient Burns. I think Belal could beat him again but I'd wager he'd grapplefuck JDM.

And here I thought they went with the higher ranked guy on a longer win streak who's undefeated in the UFC, only to find out from some can that it's really because the UFC is a racist organization for not giving a guy who isn't in the top 5 a title shot over someone who is.

I disagree. Buckleys fighting the true old guard and has been found lacking against fringe guys at 185. I think he has turned the corner but needed 1 more.

I thibk JDM was more deserving just because he was in that title eliminatpr with Leon.

Big fan of phil and he is semi correct.buckley has the more impressive wins but i think jdm would ko him.i don't think it comes down to race but who fits the narrative at the time for the least amount of money.the ufc is really just filling a spot until shavkat can fight again.i hope Phil gets a fight again soon.i would like to see him fight Sam Patterson or the leech
 
Saying it's 2025 like the promotion didn't parade the US president on the most recent card who's biggest policy he wanted to enact was getting every person that appears to be from South America sent back to which ever country he thinks they're from.

Like he hasn't been hailed as the savior of the white race by extremist groups since his first term.

JDM was picked over Buckley because he had the better record overall.
