Not basically, it's just a fact. Islam's last three wins against LWs are Chucky, (late replacement) Hooker, and (late replacement) Bobby Green lol and his nuthuggers act as if he's cleaned out the division. Arman is a new fighter since they met, Gaethje is always a problem and Islam isn't Khabib in the cerebral sense. Charles deserves a rematch, especially if they make him get one more win. That's just in the short term.
BSD is coming up, as could Jalin Turner's treant ass if he strings together a few wins, though the two SD losses could hold him back if they aren't spectacular finishes.
There's also someone I think is a dark horse in the division: Mateusz Ribecki.

All these clowns wanting to move up for the belt are doing it bc they know their time at their current weight class as champ is very limited. So they want to move up while the iron is hot. They have no confidence in their selves. If you going to move up a weight class, you should have to fight a top 5 guy at the minimum to prove you belong. Weight classes exist for a reason, instead of all this skipping of the lines only to get KO'd with the ease like Volk. Volk would never be a top 5 guy at LW. That why he had to jump the line. Same with Islam at WW and Leon at MW. Alex was the only one who proved it the right way.

BOTH of them are calling for a second title opportunity. Did you miss that part? This is not about rumours. It’s about exactly what both are publicly saying.

One has 2 defences with 2 definite worthy contenders in line. The other has 2 defences against a FW. Zero defences against ANY LW. The guy has ONE top 5 win.. Period.

These guys should have at least a cpl more defences against the next contenders in line in their actual divisions.

Who thinks either deserve to get a free TS in another division? The correct answer is pretty much nobody.

UFC is a fight entertainment business based on violent exploitation of the fighters -- it's not a noble sport.

UFC Fighters look to maximize their worth, as well as pursuing professional aspirations to include their own perspective on legacy -- and as Independent Contractors (non-slaves) don't owe anything to the Game or Machine that seeks to exploit them.

That is why Felder is wrong -- even if his character is trying to pursue a more sporting approach to the proper arc of a Champion.

Lol, how did Conor, DC and Nunes "earn it", but somehow Islam hasn't? Nunes had 3 defenses with a split decision and a 5th round TKO over Raquel Pennington, and only had a 3 fight win streak to get the title shot in the first place. DC was on a 1 fight win streak over Volkan Oezdemir, Conor didn't defend shit and had just gone 1-1 with Nate Diaz. They somehow "earned it", but Islam being the #1 p4p on the longest win streak in LW history, beat the previous #1 p4p twice, straight up demolished the next guy in the rankings, and there isn't even a clear contender or anybody with more than a 1 or 2 fight win streak who would come in as less than a 4-1 underdog at best, and that's somehow less than all the others have done?

Yeah, Leon's is ridiculous because there are multiple guys on long win streaks, and there are multiple guys he would have close odds with if he's even the favorite at all, but the issue with Islam has far more to do with Belal and Shavkat being next at WW, not that there are a bunch of close fights for at LW.
