Compared to Chipotle and Qdoba, I like Moe's. Them, I'd put over the others just cuz the chips are complimentary and they got a salsa bar. But even with how 'bad' we all know Taco Bell is, it is hard to beat for it's variety, simplicity, and price. Those 2 would fight for a spot for me.
Also fighting for a spot is Shake Shack & Five Guys. Five guys, it's basically only one order (don't ever bother with the hot dog or grilled cheese, what a waste of time), but then every topping you want, too many fries to eat, and then just mix up your shake. Shake Shack, I
could put above, but not enough near me to compare. In n Out doesn't rank for me because I'm east coast, and the one time I was gonna stomp around Cali,
everyone told me to go, but then only told me about the
specific way you need to order after I got back. Shit was average as fuck and get your secret menu bullshit outta my face.
As others have said, Jersey Mike's over Firehouse Subs.
So that covers Texmex, classic burger place, subs, and I'd like to put a Chinese place in the 4th spot, but let's be real, you don't need to hit a fast food place for Chinese. Every Chinese is basically fast food already and unlike Mexican to Texmex, the Americanization of Chinese food is only a giant step down. You find your local Chinese food place called "Happy Food Chinese" or "Good time Chinese" or some shit like that, and the general rule is: The less you can understand them on the phone when you're ordering, the better the food. Stick with that.
So fourth spot will go chicken. I didn't want to put Popeye's up here, but unlike Chick Fil A, I like eating food on Sundays and don't hate the gays, and KFC is just bottom barrel shit, so Popeye's gets it, especially if you got a place that does those limited time offers like a shrimp po boy. Then fuck yeah
So the working list right now for me is:
Moes/Taco Bell
Five Guys/Shake Shack
Jersey Mike's
Popeye's
