Media Paddy Pimblett declares Dana "unbelievable at his job"

So the co main event made 2m.I’m talking about prelim fighters… Jesus Christ.

TKO hasn’t event made an event and folks already jumping to conclusions that fighters are going to get paid shit, when in reality the pre lim are already getting paid shit.

You folks can hate on Dana White all you want, but honestly this will benefit a lot of the lower tier boxers.

In the end, Dana probably won’t event have control of the payouts, but folks on here jumping to conclusions already.

It’s so bizarre you people hate on someone so much and care so much about what other people’s incomes are.

I’ll reserve judgement once an event occurs. But hey I guess it’s good to speculate.
You are comparing the UFCs business model and UFC prelim fighters to boxing which doesn't even work in a remotely similar manner. The UFC has less than 1000 active fighters signed. When you are talking about boxers who earn less than the UFC prelims, you are talking about people who would fall outside of that 1000 that would be theoretically signed. If you examined the top 1000 boxers in the world and their average pay then it would definitely be higher than the average UFC pay and by a good margin.

Paddy's doing tricks on Dana's D. Guess I would too if I was getting an easy path to a LW title shot. He won't be singing the same tune when he finally gets brutally KO'd and Dana throws him away like a used rag. Is normal.

The irony in your post.

So we’re not comparing the business models now? But in your previous post you practically stated with Dana White “running” things everyone will be paid shit?

Look, you people on here really has let your hatred for Dana cloud your judgements.

For me, I’m going to reserve that until an event has happened. A lot of people seem to be optimistic about it well other than the aforementioned bizarre weirdos who just Wah Wah at the very sight of Dana name.

Dana just tries very hard to be Vince McMahon, but with none of the talent and actual love for the art the old man has (and a fraction of the bullying and sexual abuse).

I'm merely saying that a fighter thinking things would be better for fighters if Dana gets into boxing is likely dead wrong. A boxer with Pimblett's name value would get paid more in boxing as things stand than he does in the UFC. Also, I've never based my opinions on anything based on well a lot of people think it and I also don't need to resort to attacking people and calling them weirdos to try make a point.

Who is that girl?

The cash cow just lining up for another glazing session.

Come on Paddy, you already have full Dana White privilege, you don't need to beg for it.

At least you have proven you were worthy of the privilege all along, unless guys like Holland, Colby, Chandler, and Nickal.

Paddy is talking like that because they have been treating him like hes the next big thing.

Paddy knows how to work the system. I imagine he gets a shopworn Gaethje and a title shot or maybe just a title shot for this stunt.

i do tip my hat to dana. He could have retired and lived an easy life many years ago. But he still flies all around the world, takes interviews from people he hates, answers questions about conor/jones, etc. If that was me i would have retired years ago.

"Definitely good for boxing because we all know how good of a promoter Dana is," Pimblett said. "Dana’s the man.

"He built this sport up from the ground up without him, and the Fertitta brothers first, we wouldn't have the UFC what it is today, and it's one of the biggest sports companies in the world.

"Dana’s unbelievable at his job. And obviously everyone else that's involved now, Hunter Campbell and that. ... Them getting involved in the boxing world can only be good for boxing. ... And it's gonna be better for fighters."

Well Paddy has been given favorable match making so far.

UFC was 2 million in debt and on the verge of bankruptcy when the Fertittas bought it and now UFC is valued at like 10 billion. Paddy is objectively right.

Definitely helps that you left out the part where they bought the company, immediately went 40+ million in debt but had his "fuck you money rich" fertita buddies to bail him out infinitely until things eventually popped off after years and years of lighting money on fire.

For some reason that part is often omitted in the "Hey look how amazing of a business man Dana White is" story .

A ... LOT more people would succeed in business if they had a 40 million dollar cushion to bail them out in the lean years.

I have no recollection of even writing that post. That was 3 months ago?

Anyway, yeah that's fair. But to say Dana didn't do anything is false.

He pushed for rule changes, worked with the Athletic commissions, and was relentless promoting the product. He was the man hustling to turn it into a success. You could argue he had too, because if it failed would have meant his own failure.

Another thing is obviously the Fertittas saw the potential in what Dana could do, or they wouldn't have kept pursuing even after those losses. They were right.

People forget that during the early days of covid UFC was the ONLY ticket in town. He got a ton of heat for putting on fights, gained a ton of respect for him when I saw he managed that.

I was just thinking, "Man, Paddy's nose looks pretty brown." Now I know why.

The only reason for this was the contract with ESPN, which could have kept a portion of the $300 million the UFC receives annually. Because it requires a certain number of shows, which the UFC is contractually obligated to do. So, it was solely his bank account that motivated him to do it.

And how many people still got infected with covid, even though the great Dana White wanted to take such "great measures" to prevent that from happening?
