Dio fuckin rules, saw Heaven and Hell once in Sydney. Lost him a couple years after thatI've seen Ozzie, Dio, black Sabbath with Ozzie or Dio, and I've seen heaven & hell. Ozzie was the weakest performer. I hated the "I can't hear you", the jumping jacks and the theatrics, the zip lines, and bubble guns...... His influence is monumental but I don't listen anymore. Dio was better/different, Zakk Sabbath is better.

i didn't enjoy the Ozzie live show, but I should note that I'm not knocking him or the fans. He is goofy bastard and like I said you can't understate what he and Black Sabbath contributed to much of the music I love. Some of the older metal guys seem to take themselves too seriously, and I liked it best when they would break character and just profess their love of their fans. For example King Diamond and DioNever got to see Dio, but I think most Ozzy fans will say musically Dio is in a different league.
Still....the bumbling old bastard was still entertaining on stage, and just..fun.

A friend and myself approached a band at a small club. After complimenting them my friend asked them if they still play an old song. They got kind of agitated and told us they didn't take requests. 30 minutes later there called us out as the assholes and played the song. I loved it. The old guys are pretty funny
Phil is better nowadays from my observation seeing Down, and I think Zakk is sober, not that I ever saw a bad show from him (6 shows). I'm not going to compare him to dimebag but he is a monster guitarist I'm his own right. He's the man they picked for a reason. Should be a good showLol my last two shows were Geoff Tate and Social Distortion, Tate still seemed even more a diva than he was damn near 30 years ago (but the fucker could still sing) but Social D was having a great time and were very appreciative, and rocked the place
Pantera (v2) this July! Can't wait to see Zakk shred some Dime!

I was just thinking about system of a down, I saw them in 99 I think, they opened for clutch. Back in the day a coworker would take a bunch of us to ozzfest, he was stealing so much money from work he'd do that to keep us quiet
Report back with how it was. It looks awesome, but it also sounds like Ozzy is barely singing with Black Sabbath and it's just a variety show with all these other people. It should be a legit Black Sabbath show. Also Sleep Token and Ghost are trash, it's like music for people who want to pretend to listen to metal, but they don't actually like heavy music and only want the aesthetic.
That's crazy lol, to me that is by far their worst album. Load, Reload, Black Album, Death Magnetic, had some OK songs, but St Anger is just sooooo weird.I got an even hotter take that St. anger, viewed as among their worst work is not bad at all
Yeah, I get it. For some reason though, I just kind of line St. anger way more than other people. I still don’t like Metallica but I think it’s underrated. Load/reload are terrible. That's crazy lol, to me that is by far their worst album. Load, Reload, Black Album, Death Magnetic, had some OK songs, but St Anger is just sooooo weird.
No, you're not.I'm not alone, am I?
I don't know what's the deal with that snare sound. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Who thought that it was a good idea.St Anger is just sooooo weird.
Zakk has been sober for more than a decade now. Had to or it would have killed him. I personally think he was the ideal choice to fill in for Dime. Totally different guitarists, but they were close friends. Also a good chunk of Zakk's career has been devoted to covering other guitar gods' work (Randy Rhodes, Tony Iommi, Hendrix, etc.). Zakk is on my personal mount Rushmore of guitarists.Phil is better nowadays from my observation seeing Down, and I think Zakk is sober, not that I ever saw a bad show from him (6 shows).
