I've said this before but the PlayStation is really lacking in games of this type, a strictly 2d platform maker, and it's a shame they didn't make one before crash left, although there are still plenty of great IP's to use.

Also that's a crazy ass stage.

Dreams craps all over this in my opinion. Way more variety of tools and it’s mind boggling what some people made from it. This only sold well because of Mario ip, still a fun game though. Hopefully we get more Astrobot from asobi

Why is ps5 lacking so much? No games, weakest ps in a minute

Dreams is too complicated , Mario maker is more streamlined and optimised for this type of gameplay. It's also different when the entire game audience is focused on 2d gaming.

I honestly never played it. I’m lazy and I just want to play with my limited time. Did it sell well? I’d argue that PS just needs platformers like odyssey rather than building games but that’s just my personal preference

I never played it but I believe it was a success, I've always wanted this type of game as it suits me, I mostly enjoy gaming in shortish bursts and this is perfect for that.

I have no intention of creating anything on this type of game, I've seen people play it and it's quite easy to find stages of your desired style/difficulty you want

This game is completely flying under the radar. It should be getting way more hype. The first one was incredible and the devs put in a lot of work providing big free updates. I’ll probably buy it just to show support even if I don’t get around to it until I finish some other games
Agree and have had BII preordered for weeks now because of it. Same as slept-on first title.

On how The Order raised the bar for superficial material rendering with DF contribution:

Really nice video retrospect: (Time to watch 25m)

So supposedly this is the body / casing of the CFI-2016 model aka "the slim" but disc drive version

Alleged video footage of the new PlayStation 5 “slim” model has leaked online, following today’s earlier leaked image.

The footage, which was uploaded via Twitter user @BwE_Dev shows the new PlayStation 5 model and its detachable disc drive, which Insider Gaming reported in late 2022.

Although the video footage of the console is currently unverified, it matches up with our original reporting. Back in September 2022, Insider Gaming reported that the new PlayStation 5 will feature a detachable disc drive, which we believe we can see at the bottom of the console at the 2 second marker in the video (note the very distinct line of seperation).
Back then, we also reported that the PlayStation 5 revisiion will not be a PS5 Slim, instead, it’s a means of streamlining the manufacturing process and reducing shipping costs.

Recently, court documents that surfaced during the Microsoft vs. FTC trial seemed to refer to a ‘PlayStation Slim’ being released later on in 2023. There was also a very tasty sale on existing PlayStation 5 hardware, with some surmising that it’s an effort to get rid of old stock to make way for the new units.

I’m confused on what we’ve got coming. Slim? Pro? I remember the detachable ODD, which predates both Slim and Pro model rumors.

The "Slim" is the one with the detachable drive

The bottom plate comes off with the drive in and looks like it can be replaced with a smaller plate. Its also supposedly two inches shorter than the original console.

If I cannot kill a home invader by clonking them on the head with it, is it really a PS5?

Got GT7 from GameFly to check out on VR. Not much of a racing fan and really only get into the Kart racers with the kids and some of the more arcade titles over the years.

Absolutely blown away with the initial demo track while I wait for the rest to download. It legit looks like I'm in a real car. There is a VR arcade close by that has a couple of racing rigs set up that use some basic Virtua Racing game they load up. They need to dump and load this up asap.

Tekken 2, Mr Driller, Ridge Racer 2 (PSP)+ Type 4 are now available to purchase in the PS Store, as well as being availabe via PS Plus

GT film starring Orlando Bloom with Stranger Things' David Harbour and directed by Neill Blomkamp is clicking with audiences:

Market leader PS5 and Sony hardware (DualSense, PS4) continuing to sell strong in July, reports PSU team:

The latest GfK data has revealed that PS5 sales for July 2023 were up 68% year-on-year, as Sony’s console continues to remain market leader for another month — even if sales were only slightly up compared to last month.

It wasn’t just the PS5 that seems to be doing pretty well lately, as the PS4 also saw sales jump by a massive 331% so far this year — not bad for a console that turns 10-years-old in November. Over on the accessory from, the DualSense controller remains on top, with the White version hogging the no.1 spot ahead of the Black pad, thanks largely to recent discounts at retailers.

Little Spartan juggle for youse:

There was one sherbro that was whining like crazy about cutscenes a few years back, forgot his name. I actually love cutscenes, reaching the cutscene was always the reward for me, especially when playing on the older consoles and you'd that graphical upgrade for the curscene.
