Social Nova Scotia Canada bans hiking

Weird, I don't know what to say about this. But I understand both viewpoints on this matter.

I understand both points as well. But you cant lock people down in because of wild fires. Issue a fire warning have the cops that are patrolling on bikes arrest anyone not in compliance and get on with it. This isn't free country shit and I don't even wanna hear otherwise.

Just having a laugh talking shit, sherbro. The support for the Liberal party in the maritimes is baffling, though.
I've always loved your posts, was surprised at the attack. But I get I was a bit whiney and over the top.

You've got some snipe in that verbal repertoire, I dig for sure!

When the parents are gone, we'll likely entertain a move back to Alberta or Ontario.

Aging parents is a big factor. Been there and get it. Maritimes is beautiful though, enjoy it while you can.

I mean, govts close beaches to swimming when they are unsafe. Total fire bans of what we are seeing now in Ontario is probably a better idea. But they probably tried that. I’m not too familiar with the level of fires they are seeing out east.
Yes we have burn bans in place

Unfortunately, its probably necessary. Fires have been a big problem up there. My whole state has been blanketed in smoke from Canada for the past week.
Thats enough for me to send some troops up there and invade.
Its about time we ripped off that fuckin Maple Leaf and put up a McDonalds sign or something on their flag.

Can we compromise?

The colors are the same for the most part

Its getting so this may be the only option left.

And what do you say to the families of people who get trapped by wildfires that break out while they're frolicking or policing in the forest?

So now not being able to go into the back country due to a natural disaster level situation is being locked down ?

Come on man

And what do you say to the families of people who get trapped by wildfires that break out while they're frolicking or policing in the forest?
Are the police already not in the forest looking for rule breakers ?

This current fire was caused by the ol homeless encampment in bayers lake. They seem to have decided to have a cook fire...in the woods. While it's tinder dry lol
So let's ban everyone from using the woods because homeless people start Bush fires.

Punish the people that don't cause the fires and those that do will not listen and just start more fires.

Go Canada 🇨🇦

They didn't really though. They closed the public forests on pain of fines. Owners were not forbidden from going out in the woods on their properties, they were just asked to please not .

Its no different than closing the public beach due to shark attacks or high bacteria levels as far as I am concerned.

They should find hikers and have four guys hold down each limb and then two more guy's that batters the hiker's knees with baseball bats for 15 minutes straight

I have no information about the extent of that and don't see how that's relevant to my point in any event, which is that the ban isn't solely about concern over people setting fires (whether accidently or with purpose); it's also about trying to discourage people from endangering themselves.

Could it be that the prevalence of wildfire in Canada and the dry conditions on the ground is due to the government spraying Glyphosate on the ground killing parts of the ecosystem to promote growth of the types of trees to be harvested for lumber ?

Would it not be an idea to hold off on these practices during and leading up to fire season ?
