In repentance I will watch an entire Nemkov fight (unless I have, and have forgotten, lmao) instead of clips

Well alright I watched a whole fight. #1 he looks juicy. Second the striking lacked intent. But he got a nice finish. This is probably who will fight Ngannou next so I'm interested.

Would he beat Pereira... Idk
 
This would be a great fight. Probably favour Vadim a little.

Nemkov, Anderson, Davis and Bader all "could"

Nemkov is the only one who I could confidently say WOULD beat Poatan.

Anderson and Davis wouldn't be cake walks for him either.

Bader is the only one I see Poatan beating and even then if Baders wrestling is on point I see him taking Poatan down pretty easily and holding him down as well.

But Bader is inconsistent and I could see him getting knocked out.

Honestly I have no idea, but I’d love to see these two in the cage to find out that’s for sure. Nemkov looks a beast

Nemkov beat Davis, Bader, and Anderson.

Those guys pretty much left the UFC because they were boring fighters and needed to get paid in Bellator. Not because they weren't good enough.

For perspective, Phil Davis, Corey Anderson, and the late Rumble Johnson all beat Glover Teixeira when he was in his prime.

Glover is a recent LHW champion, who toward the end of his career barely lost his belt to Jiri in an all out war. Jiri is Poaton's best win at 205 by a lot.


So this means that Bellator's best LHW's were definitely good enough to be champs in the UFC. Nemkov proved to be the best of all of them. He struggled against Anderson a lot in the first fight, but in the rematch he had improved to the point where he could beat him rather convincingly.

And if someone says Corey Anderson was bad, then no, he was boring and not marketed well. He was good, and for his age he was excellent. v People always forget fighters are not in their primes in their 20s in MMA, Corey left the UFC when he turned 30, so he was better in Bellator than in the UFC.


Someone like Phil Davis would have beaten many guys in 205, including Alex Peireira. He'd also beat the audience down by putting everyone to sleep.


Nemkov is not a 205er anymore, but when he was there he was the best for quite a few years. In before someone mentions he lost to Jiri at HW 10 years ago.

So Nemkov is UFC caliber because the fighters he beat inside of Bellator were UFC fighters. That makes sense.

Corey is getting chinned at some point I think. He'd have to panic wrestle immediately but it's not like Poatan just falls down as someone makes contact with his legs.

Davis might be interesting just to see if his chin can handle the Poatan shots but he's kinda old now so I dunno if they could.

Bader is shot now, I bet him in the Ferreira fight thinking he can maybe wrestle a hard hitter with worse takedown defence than Poatan but yeah, I didn't make any money on that transaction.
