He'd be -250 an would lose the same way Whittaker lost to DDP despite being a big favourite. Odds aren't always aligned with what happened. Tom lacked footage so it could be assessed how good he truly was. Bo Nickal was a huge favourite vs RDR too.

265 lbs Aspinall is on a different level. Pereira has nothing for Aspinall. NOTHING. Even at 242 bloated "skinny fat" pounds, he is still way too small for Aspinall. The guy even at 242 lbs looks like has 17 inch arms because of his thin and long bone structure.

He will get taken down like bambi before he could even see Aspinall coming and will get choked unconscious. This is exactly what would happen in a universe that is not fawning over Pereira.

You got it right tho, the UFC is weird. You have Tom analysing Pena vs Kayla while Tom saying he knows what is to fight Juliana Peña by getting elbowed in the face repeteadly. Is it normal? Nah.... Why'd Tom say that tho??
 
Gotta go with Ankalaev. Pereira was just way too hesitant to throw, he defended takedowns well but that doesn’t win you a fight. I said it before their first fight and I’ll say it again, Ankalaev isn’t nearly as outgunned on the feet as some would have you think. Magomed is a damn good striker in his own right.
 
For me it all depends on how honest Alex is being when he says he was sick in their first fight. If that's true I'm pretty sure he would win the rematch. Dude was on his back foot the entire time which is wholly unlike him, so maybe it is true.

He wasn't aggressive versus Blachowicz but the judges gave him the win. He looked like he expected the decision against Ankalaev as well. I wouldn't be shocked if he plods along and throws the lowest amount of head strikes in a five round fight again and then expects another gift decision.
 
Has there been any confirmation that Alex fought with norovirus
My son and wife got it one time and to move also meant a quick run to the loo
I dont think Alex as great as he is could have fought with an active norovirus infection
 
Why does Ankalaev want this rematch so badly though? Like, he won fair and square. Alex Pereira was interested in going to HW. He even suggested he hacked Alex account so build the rematch. He doesn't need it for his legacy. He even suggested Alex was ducking him when he Alex was talking about going to HW but he has the belt. There's Jiri, Khalil, Hill, Reyes, Zhang... He has a lot of fun at 205. And other than Jiri, no one called Ankalaev out. It's just weird because he won but he fixated on Alex still calling for round 6 a day after the fight. It's just weird.

Another close fight, mostly standup, I am thinking Perreira and it goes the distance. Ankalaev is quite solid defensively, so I don't see a KO here unless Alex really turns it up.
