Alex Pereira — GOAT conversation

if the fights are right like striking fight
if he really wanted he had fought at HW vs jones and aspinal
but he knows he would get taken down and humiliated

its a calculated move by him and his team
hell i dont even know if he thinks he can beat ankalaev lol
Not quite... Ankalaev is as big of a test as JJ. You underestimate how good Ankalaev is. Again, Alex is a monster and... I wouldn't underestimate his come back. I think it's definitely possible that he beats Ank in the rematch (the 1st one was very close... Add an Alex in better shape and more confident in TDD and he can flip a round to get a 3-2, ofc) and it's possible he beats Tom easier still imo. I think he will get the belt in 3 different divisions and have defeated 7 or 8 former world champions accross 3 different divisions... A feat never replicated. He would have at least 4 belt defenses in LHW which counts as well. And accepting all fights, even short notice against nightmare fighters like Jiri and a rising dangerous as fuck contender like Khalil while he had everything to lose and nothing to gain... I honestly think he'd be above Khabib and GSP if he beats Ank in the rematch then moves up and gest the third belt and do one defense there or two... He wouldn't be undefeated, but having beaten 7 elite world champions in 3 different weight classes, all of them except Jan younger than him, and if he does that vs Tom who ppl consider the ""most dangerous HW"" .., and then if he still fights and beats (please no) JJ after Tom... I think he'd be already GSP and Khabib but still < JJ.

Btw I think he's already > Khabib now.

Those videos aren't for nothing...

I like the guy but the reality is he got signed to the UFC at 3-1 then given a title shot after 3 fights, two of them against guys who werent top 10. Then he got a title shot at LHW off the back of a contentious decision over a 40 year old who had been a journeyman in his prime.

If he had to take the same path 99% of fighters do theres a good chance he never even wins a belt. So no, definitely not in the GOAT discussion.

Aaron Pico - GOAT conversation.

Hear me out - what if he beats Lerone Murphy, Evloev, Rodriguez, splits two with Volk 1-1, then goes down and beats Umar and loses to Merab, then beats Merab, goes up up and beats Ilia, Gamrot, Charles, and Max, then

Naaa. Lost against adesaya ( striker ') dominated bh a grappler ( obviouly). Top 100 maybe, with a lot of dana privilegie

Absolutely not. He’s not the best in any weight class he’s competed in—i.e., he’s not the MW GOAT, he’s not the LHW GOAT—nor does his resume across multiple weight classes warrant it. Hendo for example isn’t in GOAT discussions, but has done more across 3 weight classes than Pereira.
Hendo is my all time fav but he went 0-3 in ufc title fights although i scored the bisping fight for him. Alex P is my current fav but… no he’s not anywhere close to goat. Were he to win HW belt and beat jones u could certainly make a case that that would be up there for best run of all time. Just won’t have the longevity for best mma fighter of all time imo. U wanna add his kickboxing and say goat combat sports athlete of all time then I think a case can def be made

luffy, please.

finish your homework first.
