Not quite... Ankalaev is as big of a test as JJ. You underestimate how good Ankalaev is. Again, Alex is a monster and... I wouldn't underestimate his come back. I think it's definitely possible that he beats Ank in the rematch (the 1st one was very close... Add an Alex in better shape and more confident in TDD and he can flip a round to get a 3-2, ofc) and it's possible he beats Tom easier still imo. I think he will get the belt in 3 different divisions and have defeated 7 or 8 former world champions accross 3 different divisions... A feat never replicated. He would have at least 4 belt defenses in LHW which counts as well. And accepting all fights, even short notice against nightmare fighters like Jiri and a rising dangerous as fuck contender like Khalil while he had everything to lose and nothing to gain... I honestly think he'd be above Khabib and GSP if he beats Ank in the rematch then moves up and gest the third belt and do one defense there or two... He wouldn't be undefeated, but having beaten 7 elite world champions in 3 different weight classes, all of them except Jan younger than him, and if he does that vs Tom who ppl consider the ""most dangerous HW"" .., and then if he still fights and beats (please no) JJ after Tom... I think he'd be already GSP and Khabib but still < JJ.if the fights are right like striking fight
if he really wanted he had fought at HW vs jones and aspinal
but he knows he would get taken down and humiliated
its a calculated move by him and his team
hell i dont even know if he thinks he can beat ankalaev lol
Btw I think he's already > Khabib now.
