Minotauro has 3 TIMES more Top 10 Wins than Frank Mir

Is Weidman Anderson better? Weidman beat Andersons ass twice and is a defending UFC champion with multiple top 10 wins. I guess anyone who thinks Mir is better overall than Nog has to also think Weidman is better than Anderson Silva who is a top 3 GOAT. I guess those people put Weidman ahead of that...

Dennis Hallman must be better than Hughes also.

Mike Browne must be better than Faber too

This seems kind of obvious given that Big Nog is one of the 4 GOATs of the sport, and Frank Mir...is not.

Franks still a better fighter cause you know, he finished Nog......twice.

tl,dr.

Mir beat him twice. badly. that's all.

Nog checks for Mir under the bed and in the closet before he shuts out the lights at night. He owns the better resume by far, but Mir owns Nog's arm.

Nog has the better resume and it isn't even debatable. He undoubtedly had the greater career.

This is kind of stunning. I mean I've always liked Nog and disliked Mir, but 3x the top ten wins is crazy.

The Nogueira that survived Fedor's meat-grinder for 20 minutes and came out on top of wars with Angry Sapp and Spree Killer Cro Cop would never have been finished by Mir. It's not like Mir is actually that much better at grappling.

Whether or not he could've taken the decision is another story though, yes. Nog has always been more or less a walking heavy bag, wrestling not great either.

I am unclear how prime Nog would have out-toughed getting his arm broken.

I am not sure if you've watched any of his PRIDE fights, but he would not have gotten his arm broken in the first place. Mir looked better on the ground against Nogueira than he had in years, primarily due to training for tendencies of Nogueira that were well-documented at that point, and ripe for exploitation. I can tell you one thing: Mir was definitely ecstatic when Nog made the woeful decision to try and pull that guillotine on him.

It's like Gus handling Shogun's sweeps and leglocks with ease because he knew exactly what washed up Shogun would be going for and could train for it, when Shogun himself hadn't progressed in years and had nowhere near the same speed or ability to quickly change holds as he did when he managed to roll himself out from underneath Ricardo Arona, one of the finest grapplers ever to compete in mma.

Never have I seen a fighter so slow on the feet yet so fast on the ground as prime Nogueira; even that, however, faded with time and shopwear.

By not being in that position in the first place?

The Nog that fought Fedor 3 times is not the same Nog that fought Mir.

If people want to argue otherwise I guess Marcio Cruz is better than Mir
