Minotauro has 3 TIMES more Top 10 Wins than Frank Mir

Pride was a pro-wrestling organization. Everybody knows that. You don't actually think crap was legit do you?

If it wasn't legit then why are 5 of the current Top 10 HWs former Pride fighters (even though it shut down over 7 years ago.)

Why are no UFC HWs from the same era in the Top 10?

How did Anderson win a UFC belt
How did Shogun win a UFC belt
How did Rampage win a UFC belt
How did Nog win a UFC belt
How is Henderson still fighting at the age of 43
How is Werdum Top 5?
How is Overeem Top 10?
How is Lil Nog Top 10 and how did he beat Rashad recently?
How did Barnett destroy Mir?
How is Hunt winning?
etc

If it was all fake then how are these guys any good all of these years later?

Where are all of the UFC stars from 7-10 years ago while many of the Pride fighters from that era are still relevant?

Chill out. I'm just messing with you. I like Nog. This thread is shit.

If you want to say that Nog had a better overall career than Mir I think that's correct

But it must always be acknowledged that Mir beat him cleanly and without controversy...twice

Why are there so many threads about Frank Mir?

Basically, one guy started a Mir>Nog thread, then another started a Nog>Mir thread, and it just kind of balloon'd from there.

Give it some time and we'll get a Mir>Cabbage thread.

This thread highlights a big problem with mma fans. Agree with sharkboy Hans Gruber and almost all other longer serving members.

Dennis Hall is 2-0 vs Hughes, both via submission. Doesnt change the fact Hughes had a better career. Nog was Pride HW champ at a time when Pride had the betterHW division, & was UFC interim champ after Pride. Mir was UFC HW champ when the UFC didnt have the best HW division.

Who beat Nog for that UFC interim championship after Pride?

Nog never beat the one true goat hw in pride .. Mir>>nog.. Oh and Mir raped nog too

What are these discussions?

Mir wrecked Big Nog in both striking and grappling

Mir is underrated and underappreciated.

Ranks don't always tell the whole story. Technically Randy Couture was unranked when Lesnar beat him, but he was still the UFC Champion.

Mir beat Wes Sims when Wes was 6-1

Mir beat Tim Sylvia when Tim Sylvia was 16-0 (regardless of what era it was.. do you know how badass you have to be go to 16-0? Lyoto Machida is the only other UFC fighter I know that went 16-0 before getting his first loss, Rashad went 15-0 but with a draw in there somewhere)

Mir beat Brock Lesnar

Mir Beat Big Nog twice.

Mir beat Cheick Kongo when he was very arguably in the best moment of his career (despite losing to cain, he had dominated his last 3 fights before that in ruthless fashion and people were saying this was a new more dangerous kongo)

Mir beat Roy Nelson in dominate fashion when he was a very nice name in the UFC.

so like I said ranks don't always tell the story and Mir is very underrated. It's easy to try to discredit his wins ("oh the lesnar he beat was only in his 2nd fight and Nog and Crocop were both past their prime") but that's just a cowardly shit thing to do.

At the end of the day when someone's career is over, they do have a legacy. but if you're not one of the top top top guys like anderson or gsp, it hardly matters and even then.. you can be forgotten so quickly.

So all I know is the one thing you can bank on is having a career that you can be proud of and both men did that.

Both men were champions and both men deserve to be called great veterans of the sport, if not legends.

but i can't stand to see Mir so criminally underrated. He beat Nog TWICE. He beat Crocop much better than Nog beat Crocop (Nog got slapped around the entire time and then pulled off a last second submission, Mir was on his way to winning the decision before he got the ko)

and Mir easily beat Sylvia while Nog got dropped by him multiple times.

I'm very interested to see how Nog/Nelson plays out cause if Nelson wins that will be the 3rd opponent that they have in common that Mir beat BETTER than Nog did.

on top of the fact of course that Mir beat Nog himself X2

That's a bullshit comparison.

hallman vs hughes is more like serra vs GSP

Cause Hallman wasn't a multiple time UFC Champion with a laundry list of big names and legends on his resume.
Frank Mir has defeated:
Lesnar
Big Nog twice
Crocop
Sylvia
Nelson
Kongo

Hallman only ever defeated Hughes. The comparison is complete bullshit.

MIR > NOG
Freeman > MIR
Cruz > MIR
Vera > MIR

Thank you for clearing up whose careers are better. I always said Pe De Pano is under appreciated!
