Minotauro has 3 TIMES more Top 10 Wins than Frank Mir

If people want to argue otherwise I guess Marcio Cruz is better than Mir
I find it odd how some have no qualms in pointing out the fact that Mir wasn't the same against Cruz, Dan Christison and Vera and will, in the same breath, make the absurd implication that Fossil Nog is the same guy who was not finished throughout 45 minutes with the Emperor at the very height of his powers.

Also interesting is how Fedor decided to contest the majority of their third fight on the feet, after spending almost 20 straight minutes in Nog's guard in their first fight, before running into Nogueira's nasty half guard sweep from wrist control and nearly getting kneebarred as he tried to remain upright in their second fight.

The Nogueira that survived Fedor's meat-grinder for 20 minutes and came out on top of wars with Angry Sapp and Spree Killer Cro Cop would never have been finished by Mir. It's not like Mir is actually that much better at grappling.

Whether or not he could've taken the decision is another story though, yes. Nog has always been more or less a walking heavy bag, wrestling not great either.

Watch Nog's 2004 fight with Sergei. He used to be fast on his feet. Now he is slow and has the movement of a piece of lumber. Seriously, watch his fight against Sergei. You won't believe it is the same guy

Seeing the slow robot Nog of recent years must have made people forget that he used to be fast

Fast is a relative term IMO because Kharitonov has never been much of a spring chicken himself, but yeah, I've seen it. He did look good, but even then, he had little head movement and his footwork was shambling at best. I would say that his lack of consistent success on the feet has more to do with ineffective defense and a relatively low level of skill as opposed to any decrease in physical ability (though no one can say that that aspect of his game hasn't degraded significantly, so I agree with you on that).

Agree 100%, TS. Nog > Mir. Also believe the Broncos were better than the Seahawks on account of the record setting season they had. The game between the two didn't prove anything to me. Nope. Not a damn thing.

LOL

By not being in that position in the first place?

I am not sure if you've watched any of his PRIDE fights, but he would not have gotten his arm broken in the first place. .

.......because Pride Nogueira was a grappling GOD and No one......absolutely... positively No one EVER came close to tapping Prime NOG in Pride...........

It it hilarious that Nog wasn't washed up when he beats Sylvia, Herring, Herman, Couture, and Schaub....but he's "not the same Nog" when he loses to Cain, Mir (2X) Werdum, Nelson.....

Yes he was washed up when he beat those guys :icon_neut. a fighters physical condition doesn't depend on if he wins or not, that's an incredibly dumb way of thinking, a fighter can look worse than previously even in a win

Prime Nog beats Prime Mir 100/100. A way past prime Nog knocked out Mir. Mir would be lucky to be considered an average fighter. Destroyed by a WWE wrestler.

Mir has two Ws against Nog - a KO and a submission. There is no doubt who the better fighter is, when logic is involved.

so by your "logic", time, age and accumulated damage isn't a factor at all. Nice "logic" there :icon_neut

Funny, Nog has the better record and Resume but he can't walk up to Mir, look him in the eye and say he's the better fighter.

I'd be more interested in the ratio of wins in the repsectice top 10 fights they have had. Not the number of top 10 wins.
