Probably similar to his opponents hand injury. A fake injury that comes in hand when excuses are needed.
Both main event fighters probably got staph, just in case. It is what it is.

This was released a month ago, but probably filmed a little more than a month ago. He says he had an injury and points to his leg and reveals the injury. So it's been over a month and must have been dealing with it for his whole camp. Hopefully it is better now. The video should be timestamped.

UFC will pull some strings to let Merab fight, maybe he gets time to put makeup over the injury to pass physical. Umar is also injured. We might be in for a terrible fight between 2 injured fighters. Or they call it off.
