Probably similar to his opponents hand injury. A fake injury that comes in hand when excuses are needed.
Both main event fighters probably got staph, just in case. It is what it is.

Or maybe this is just an extremely taxing sport on the body and injuries are frequent? Have you thought about that?

This was released a month ago, but probably filmed a little more than a month ago. He says he had an injury and points to his leg and reveals the injury. So it's been over a month and must have been dealing with it for his whole camp. Hopefully it is better now. The video should be timestamped.
