Crime Maine shooting - 18 dead

If the guy ditched his car because he had a boat prepped, we can forget all that mental health talk.

That takes obvious planning and intent.
Supposedly he started hearing voices after he got a new hearing aid and was convinced the people he shot had been talking shit about him.

1. Home protection
2. Hunting dangerous or delicious animals
3. Keeping the king of England out of your face.

Hasnt it been established that full auto or semi auto rifles are awful for home protection, and you are much better off with a shotgun or a handgun?

My town has a sewing circle of bored housewives on a local Facebook page; we are similar sized population. Literally nothing goes down here without chatter and gossip making the rounds.
Tried replying when boards went down, but you make a good point about the internet era probably making old lady intel groups even more effective these days

My city has a population of 2 million and I know all of them personally.
Lol, attaboy!

Huh? My town has less than that like 30,000 and I can assure you I don’t know who all 30,000 of them are.

You are just a bad person and need to interact more man. But serious my town is just a bunch of damaged divorces and soccer moms doing the lords work apparently

So the FBI may possibly have this guy cornered in a house in Bowdoin, ME that either belongs to him or his brother. Some reports said explosions have come from inside the house, others say it was Card and the FBI exchanging gunfire. Neither are confirmed. What is confirmed is that the FBI has the whole area around this house locked up and are calling inside with a loudspeaker "Open the door!" and "Robert Card, you are under arrest. We know you're inside." Now I'm reasing they have drones flying aropund the house, peeking in windows.

These last couple years must have set a record.
I couldn't find that info on a cursory search, but the trend is up:

There have been over 39,000 gun deaths in the USA every year since 2014, and there have been 644 mass shootings so far in 2023.

I hope this guy is stopped, dead or alive, before he hurts anybody else. Looks like he just walked into a bowling alley and started capping people. As a firearms instructor, he's got the skills to do it. Absolutely horrifying. RIP to the victims. I'd be terrified if I was law enforcement searching for him.

I think that might be part of the reason why it seems to be taking longer than usual to bring him in. Although you have to look twice to tell the police apart from the army a lot of the time in the USA.

Politicians and media have an odd obsession with guns. Most of us were raised with guns and it's just a tool we use on a daily/weekly basis.
It should be just a tool. There are many people in America that treat it as a personality.
