Crime Maine shooting - 18 dead

- His post history here is usually trolling.
His post history in the W&T forum suggests otherwise when it comes to things like this, but it's also midnight so maybe my judgement was clouded by being ready for bed and I took his post at face value.

Me personally, if there was a mass shooting my only instinct would be to get the fuck away from it. I'm not going to get shot trying to be a hero, I'm more likely going to get shot trying to run away.

Thoughts and prayers. Sad this keeps happening in US :( when will madness end.

You never know what you will do in a situation like that. If you do decide to fight because you see people being hurt you want the best chance you can get.

It's kind of the same with a fire. If you decide to stay to help so others have a better chance to get out it's helps to understand how to use a fire extinguisher properly given you the best chance.

Last time my hero complex (over a decade ago) flared up I got stabbed in the hand by a meth affected hobo outside of a night club precinct. That was the last time I stepped into help people.

Everything is closed up here right now.
The shooter was known to be "hearing voices" and had threatened violence in the past.
Once again, we let this shit happen.

Stay safe up there. I'm in NH right now and have been hearing helicopters circling for a few hours. Very scary situation.

"Now is not a good time to talk about solving these issues!"

And the following week....

And the month after that....

Here we are folks. We won't solve the problems because we won't address them because of pathetic virtue signaling cowards like this man. I'm sure those families are moved by your words. I'm sure they really appreciate you not wanting to bring up any solutions that might have saved their loved ones from being brutally murdered. You should run for office, you sound just as phony as they do.

Ah, of course. Nothing says "solving the issues" like someone saying America sucks or that I'm a coward. As usual, a spot on take from you.

Anyone can see what you implied you slimy little fuck.
i went back and read the exchange. i honestly think YOU are the one in the wrong here..... i dont know this dudes past post history but there is NO WAY you can draw the conclusion you did from what he wrote here.

This situation is fucking horrible for all the family and friends of those who were attacked. Another sick piece of shit that the system failed. The survivors and families of those attacked will always have a fear the rest of their lives. It fucking sucks that we constantly have shit like this happening and the only thing as individuals we can do is sympathize with the victims. Almost no one is taking steps to help prevent future tragedies like this from happening.

I see people constantly bringing up gang violence to compare to these mass shootings. The difference is we understand why gang violence happens. The effects on the victims is similar but we aren't left wondering why. In a case like this we try to blame mental health care. While it is true that mental health care in America is absolutely a joke and may have been of use in this case, there are still many more that still would have happened.

Press Conference just ended. Update:
18 dead, 13 injured.
Shooter is still on the loose.
Shelter in place still in effect.

I'm also seeing people on reddit using flight trackers to watch the helicopters searching for this guy.
