Lopes should be the favorite based on better competition

I am seeing Jean Silva being the favourite at -280 and this is the first time I disagree with the oddsmakers in a very long time like a decade or something.

Jean Silva has faced paper thin competition an old Dober and Mitchell that is not a good competition. Lopes could have beaten Volk if it was not for Volk´s superior experience but Jean Silva will bring none of that to the octagon. Lopes has an iron chin and will come flying forward like a madman and Jean Silva will find out immediately that he is in a dangerous fight from first 20 seconds. Plus Lopes is lightening fast and has power in his hands.

5 rounds is also good for Lopes he has great cardio. Lopes will get the finish imo either via early KO or via battle of attrition in the later rounds

Lopes is a classic brawler while Silva is highly intelligent and good at downloading his opponents. The fight screams of Lopes getting humiliated and exposed as a fraud yet again. I would argue Mitchell would probably beat Ortega if the two of them were to fight next too.

Lopes is not some one punch KO artist that people are pretending he is, his TKO wins against Sabatini and Yusuff were off dirty boxing scrambles. Which are unlikely to happen against Jean. He is certain to have his moments against Jean but if he lands one big punch for every multiple big punches that Jean lands it will be difficult for the judges not to give the fight to Jean.

I like Lopes more he definitely has a fan friendly style but that is kinda all he has. He's just a swang and bang brawler. Jean Silva although a wildman too he has better fight IQ and just a more well rounded fighter with more ways to win. imho
