hell, i dont even know why ted cruz thinks he'll somehow win over the trump cultists support in his 2024 run by standing with trump. trump supporters only care about one man. donald trump, and to them, he'll always be Lyin' Ted in their eyes.

donald trump will just be a footnote in history that the party is trying to erase, and will soon be forgotten. its not going to help them in 2-4 years from now when the party is trying to move on from donald trump, and these trump boot-lickers seats are up for re-electiion. you can damn well expect every one of these peoples names to get dragged through the mud during their next election cycle by their political opponents.

even if they choose not to convict, these republican senators will have to sign their name on record as the donald trump sock puppet who chose donald trump over their own party, and their own country. in 2 years donald trump will be all but forgotten. but people will remember these peoples names. they spent the last 2 months believing in trumps election fraud hoax, they spent the last 4 years just dealing with his lies and enabling him and doing what he tells them to do, and now theyre backed into a corner. if this whole impeachment thing is going to hurt anybody, it wont be the democrats. it will be the trump loyalists.

give it some time to heal and more people will see just how theyve been lied to for the last 4 years by one of the biggest pieces of shit to ever be in power. this isnt going to win the republicans any favors by continuing to kiss donald trumps ass, even after he's out of office. the party will move on from trump, and eventually so will the people.

The biggest indictment on Trump is that his staff and advisors have a 93% turnover rate that’s not even counting the advisors that resigned after the riot. He wasn’t loyal to anyone and no one will be loyal to him. He ran things like an episode of the Apprentice

It requires a separate vote. That vote can only occur if a president is convicted on articles of impeachment. So it is not false, and that isn’t even what the CNN article says.
From the Constitution, Article 1, Sec 3:
“Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.”
