Leon Edwards should be higher on the P4P list than Alex Pereira

It’s nothing by but fan bias. Casuals hate technical intelligent fighting and think being exciting is the same as being more skilled
Leon‘s skill would earn him about $2000 a fight if people were paying just to watch him. Thanks to exciting guys like Alex Pereira who bring interest to the sport, a guy like Leon can make a decent living with skill and very little excitement. Take away his Hail Mary knockout of Marty and the guy is literally the most boring fighter on the roster.

He has longer streak
He has more title defenses
He is the more skilled, more well rounded athlete
He is in a harder division
He has better wins
Hasn't lost a fight in almost ten years while Alex lost last year
Never been finished; Alex has been finished twice

In what what world does it make sense that Leon Edwards isn't P4P #2???????
No he shouldn't Alex should be 1, Edwards should be 2, O'Malley 3, Islam 4.

O’Malley? I’ve seen it all.
O'Malley KO'd aljo.

aljo who had beaten every BW champion of the last 5 years. Aljo also had 3 top 5 wins going into the fight with Yan where he won the title.

I do not like O'Malley but imo, his wins against aljo and Yan should have him up by the top. Koing aljo is massive like koing Izzy or Usman.

Many say Yan won that fight.

Hell of a streak, but not much to get excited about other than Usman. The guy got wobbled by a stockton slap ffs, and he could very well lose to blahal here shortly.

even putting hype aside, as Pereira got all of it right now, the fact that he has beaten mostly champions and mostly by KO/TKO counts a lot to his ranking. Let’s not forget that Edward was losing 50-45 to Usman before the Ko and then coasted decisions in the subsequent fights.
49-46, Leon got that judo reversal and full mount domination in the first round

You are right, I forgot about that first round td. That was crazy unexpected, kinda like Poatan fighting jones and taking him down in the first 😂

You're probably not wrong that Leon likely should be a bit above, as much as i love watching Alex fight. Alex is burning real bright, but Leon has been so consistent for Many years. But as we all know p4p tends to be a bit of a farce unfortunately.

Alex won 2 belts at 2 different weights moron. That's why. Also their defenses are equal troll

Many say Yan won that fight.
Many say Volk beat islam and he's p4p no.1. I actually scored it for yan too. but i'd be a liar if I said Sean didn't suprise me in that fight and make it such an incredibly close fight.

I won't take this win from him, as much as it pains me because I am a huge fan of Petr Yan.

It would not surpise me in the slightest. I think Usman and colby are both past their best. I dont think Edwards has fought a single good fighter at their best yet. Usman IMO was never an impressive champion I'd probably put him at #3 p4p at his absolute highest all time. He was never past Volk Or Izzy. Beating Max x3 or Whittaker x2 Trumps absolutely anything and everything usman ever accomplished. A clear divide in class between those 2 and usman.

He should be #2 behind Islam.

Both Leon and Islam beat fighters that were ranked #1 P4P.

Meanwhile Jones and Poatan beat Gane and Jiri.

In what world is P4P anything but meaningless make believe pointless fantasy speculation??
